Questions & Answers

Is this any good for sand blasting

Is this any good for sand blasting
Asked by: Robert
This would be a *very* bad choice for sandblasting. Sandblasting sand is size-graded to fit through the nozzle and system, among other things - you may very well damage your system using random other types of sand. Just because it says "silica"doesn't mean it's the same as sandblasting sand. (Believe me: I get the idea of saving money, but "sand is sand" couldn't be further from the truth. It's not even like saying "hey, gas is gas" - it's like saying "fuel is fuel" - and putting diesel in your Porsche.)

Asked by: Bob
Hello Bob, We are missing some critical measurements. We will need to know the depth you want to fill it up to as well as the width, if it is a rectangular fire pit. Thank you!

Asked by: Irishmeb
Fire-proof silica sand is an excellent base layer for a fire pit. Silica sand can be used as cost-effective filler to cover the bottom areas of a fire pit. Fire glass or lava rock can be added on top of the sand for effect. Mike
