The lock is sturdy enough, but the mechanism doesn't actually work properly. It will lock and unlock smoothly with the knob, but the key will not take it to the fully unlocked position. I was hoping that being a little more expensive than others on the market indicated a higher quality product, but it seems that they are all made in the same poor quality manufacturing line.

The quality of the lock seems on par, however, I bought this because I need a satin nickel lock in this particular style. Most of the lock IS satin nickel, except for the only part that will be visible outside the closet I was going to put it on--the keyway area, which is brass.
