These Fiskars 36 in. L Handle Swivel Grass Shears and 4.5 in. Steel Blade are not made to be your lawn mower or even your weed eater, these are for those strategic locations where a mower will not reach and you know that your weed eater is going to cause too much damage say under flower bushes, ornamental tree and grasses, along fence lines and especially the corners where fences meet.
What gives this the extra bonus points is there is no reason to go down on your knees anymore with shears. Just a warning you can overdo it and make your wrist sore by engaging and re-engaging the scissor action so many times. Try and moderate that job and split it up into sessions. This is another job made easier through modern tool improvements.
Like most older Americans my back could be better and by the simple engineering this new Fiskars stand up products has helped tremendously and weighs almost nothing. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

My wife and I both found this stand-up grass shears useful, especially in areas where a string trimmer might not be a good idea, such as when in close proximity to plants and painted surfaces. My hands did get tired from all the squeezing but only after prolonged use. In some places near walls the grass tends to be thick which is where I encountered some cutting resistance but overall the shears trimmed the grass quite easily.

Happy, to not have to bend over any more! These Fiskars 36 in. L Handle swivel grass shears and 4.5 in. steel blade is a back saver! Even when using a weed eater up close to the building or steps,it damages the wood or siding . These grass shears make it easy to cut that grass that grows up around the staircase,flower beds , edges, around outside solar lights in the ground , inbetween fences ,around light poles,etc. I like the way the handle is made, makes it easy to hold and cut. They have a feature that locks them in a closed position with a plastic cap that covers the sharp points. The ability to swivel them into other positions is a big plus!
