Q:On the top where you pour the oil out... would the threads on that outlet fit a garden hose?

A: No its larger. You would need a fitting to make that happen. If you're looking to pour oil into that end to keep the top end clean I would just use a cheap $5 or less cheap funnel. Or the other way around if you're looking to pour oil out use a funnel into whatever you're pouring into. The Garden house would create too much negative pressure and the pour rate would be significantly affected.

A: No. Garden hose fitting is too small to attach to drain outlet on container. Outlet threads on container look like they're about 1-1/4" to 1-1/2". Garden hose threads are typically 3/4" I believe.
