We do not recommend installing over grouted tiles or floating wood laminate, as the base layer would not be secure. If you choose to install over ceramic or grouted tiles, we recommend filling all grout lines with thin-set tile mortar before installing FloorPops over existing tiles to create a flat, smooth surface..

FloorPops do best on completely smooth, flat, surfaces. We would not recommend a steam mop. For best results, use a vinyl floor cleaner and do not clean with an excessive amount of water.

Beautiful Floor Upgrade on a Budget
So far so good. We used them to upgrade our 1/2 bath and will use them in other parts of the house as well. It took us about 5 hours because we had some challenges with having to cut around places for pipes and our house is not level because we are on an incline. But it was easy to do with scissors. We used Instatrim to go along the base to make everything look even. There are so many creative ways to use them. I’m excited to see how they look in our kitchen next.

I love how easy these were to install. Although some edges came up, they were easy to replace. They make a huge statement at a fraction of the cost!

Beautiful but problematic
These peel and stick tiles have a very trendy pattern and you will see it all over higher end bathroom and kitchens on IG and Pinterest. These have the look of ceramic tile at the fraction of the cost. I had two main issues with these tiles and a few minor qualms The first major issue would be the adhesive on the back. it was inconsistent some tiles were very sticky and stuck well, others starting peeling up after a few days. I prepped the subflooring properly, kept consistent temperatures inside the home and yet still there were issues. I eventually ended up putting a dab of loctite instant grab on each corner and a small amount in the center. Those tiles have no moved at all since. The second main issue is durability. For a high traffic area I expect something that can at least handle foot traffic and minimal daily use (I was renovating my rental property so the kitchen was not in use other than the sink). within a week there were some surface scratches. I guess for the price beggars cannot be choosy, but still I expected far more than these tiles delivered. The minor issues were some backing papers peeled off in the corners or shifted either at the factory or in transit causing some tiles to stick together rendering one or both pieces unusable. The next minor issue was the pattern itself. Some pieces had more concentrated color, others were more deep purple or the purple hue of the black had bled into the white part of the tile creating a weird dirty or shadowed effect. For a property that I am selling, in the price point these tiles met, it is a win but I would not put them anywhere that gets a lot of traffic in my own home.

You Get What You Pay For I Suppose
So I knew these weren't going to be the highest quality when I saw the price, but the fact that they don't even stick is pretty frustrating. Even after using TSP to clean the old floor tiles, these wouldn't stick at all. So I did a little research and decided to try Henry 2057 to get them so stay down. No dice. So then I tried Liquid Nails, which the lady at Home Depot said was the absolute strongest. The Liquid Nails did end up working, but why even manufacture a product that is self adhering if you're not going to do it right? Anyways, if you get these, get the Liquid Nails too and use it right off the bat. The white is already getting scuffed and not cleaning up nicely. Honestly, I would not buy these again.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience.

We're sorry that this product did not live up to your expectations.

Did you prime the floor under the tiles? The tiles perform best on a primed flat surface. <

What have you been using to maintain and clean the tile? For best results, we recommend the use of a vinyl floor cleaner and that you do not clean with an excessive amount of water.

Please email our customer service team directly to troubleshoot the adhesive.

These look beautiful, but don't stick. I even got the primer it requires for concrete floors and they didn't stick. Oh well. They were worth giving a try.

Hi Victoria, we're sorry to hear about your experience with FloorPops. Per our instructions, if you're installing over concrete subfloor, we'd recommend using a latex primer. Did you happen to use that for additional adhesive strength? If you're still having issues, we would encourage you to reach out to Home Depot's customer service team and arrange an exchange or refund.
