Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on our Cleartex Ultimat. We are very sorry to hear that this mat has caused injury to you upon unrolling. This mat is rolled under pressure and we would always recommend referring to our unrolling guide before attempting to unroll, we also advise having a second person to support in the unrolling if possible.
For best practice, we suggest the below:
- Apply downward pressure on the mat to secure it in place, slowly remove the plastic film/ cut the straps
- Whilst maintaining downward pressure on the mat, start to gently release this pressure ensuring the edge is facing away from you, the mat will gradually expand and unroll
This polycarbonate mat should lay flat immediately, if this is not the case please can we ask that you send some photos of your mat over to customer service team who can investigate this issue further. Our Ultimat’s are produced from extremely durable polycarbonate material and under correct application should not bow, dimple or crack. This mat in particular is designed for use on hard floors and has a weight capacity of 250 lbs including the chair and the user. If placed on carpet, the chair wheels may sink into the mat causing raised bumps on the mats surface.
