NOT Universal!!

This is supposed to be a UNIVERSAL fill valve AND flapper. It isn't! The fill valve fit my toilet and instructions are clear and fairly simple. Flapper is weirdly made and does not fit my toilet at all. The clips were set too wide to fit and the ball part of the flapper was set too far out so the ball rests on the edge of the drain hole. Also, once installed, the fill valve dribbled water from the top portion into the tank. I pressed firmly on the cap at the top and it stopped. Can I trust it?

The reason why it won't fit your toilet is because you probably have a 2 inch flush valve and not a 3 therefore the arms are too wide on the 3 inch flapper. You would need a smaller flapper where the arms are closer. If the cap leaks when the tank is refilling and stops when the tank is filled then that's normal as it's a pressure release for the fill valve. If it leaks after the tank is full then the seal in the cap is not sitting properly. For this we recommend to purge out the fill valve as instructed in our installation guide troubleshoot section as there may be grit or debris that may have gotten into the fill valve when the water was turned back on.
