Somewhat dissapointed for a mig Welder1195
The forney mig 190 doesnt keep up with the rest of competition for the price you have to pay. If the unit costed under $500 i could understand. The 5/3/1 warranty is also a drag since customer service is trained to leave you asking to speak with a manager if they are clearly in the wrong. Having to ask each service representative to speak with the next chain in command several times before things were corrected was uncalled for and clearly not for the customers satisfaction. They did give me a free mig 210 though and said i could keep my mig190 was nice though but would have never became a solution if i hadn't held my ground. 1)There is no spool gun option which you find even with 140 amp models like Lincoln, longevity, everlast, Hobart and Miller to name a few. 2) no option for 0.045 wire which you find most other brands approving it as being usable in the 180amp & above range. There is one positive things as well though but it doesn't at all out weight the bad. It uses a Euro torch which is great if your transporting it a lot from location to location. Having to deal with a Lincoln mig gun connection type is a hassle. Gas lines. Always seem to fight back trying to remove the nipple since its barbed... Something that isn't even a factor for Euro connects. RNT<3ETNT

    Very inpressed
Bang for your buck. I bought this unit for home use. I was tired of borrowing welders from work when I need to tackle a job at home. I was kind of skeptical because I did not know much about this brand. But I would have to say I would do the Pepsi challenge with this unit, Lincoln or Miller any day of the week. This is a great welder for a fraction of the price and every bit as nice and in some aspects better in simplicity then the big boys. I am the running gas, 75–25.with .035 wire. Just an all-around nice welder. Does all the things Miller Lincolns do that I use at work.
