The Armor WL550 is a solvent-based penetrating water repellent sealer designed to reduce damage and deterioration to concrete and masonry surfaces without leaving behind a surface film or coating. In addition to reducing the absorption of water, the Armor WL550 will also slightly enhance the color of most concrete and masonry surfaces. The Armor WL550 is a great choice if you are looking to slightly revive dull and faded coloring without having to worry about maintaining a film or coating.

Several coats of the AR350 will usually give better color enhancement than the WL550 which is thinner than water with more of a subtle enhancement.
The WL550 penetrating sealer is thinner than water and has a high concentration of acetone. It drips excessively if you attempt to roll it on. If you spray it, the sprayer needs to be an acetone pump sprayer with EPDM rubber seals and hose. Acetone will damage seals and hose on a cheaper sprayer (will stop working quickly).
Coverage can vary depending on a surface's porosity. The coverage listed is a 175 square feet per gallon with one coat. Some surfaces are very porous and may require two coats. Usually, a gallon covers around 100 square feet with two coats. Denser/less porous substrates such as stone often require less sealer and may only require a single coat instead of two coats. It's always best to test a small area prior to full application.
Foundation Armor recommends applying the WL550 with an acetone resistant hand-pump sprayer such as the Armor Sprayer. A sprayer should be fitted with EPDM seals, hose and a 1/2 gallon per minute nozzle. Following application, a sprayer should be flushed with acetone.
Coverage can vary depending upon a surface's porosity. If the surface is dense/less porous and only requires one coat, a gallon could cover 250+ square feet. If a surface is slightly more porous and requires two coats, a gallon might only cover 100 square feet with two coats.
The WL550 can be applied to natural stone such as slate. Slate is a very dense stone and might only be able to accept one coat. If needed, run a small test, when properly applied, the WL550 should not develop a gloss finish (just color enhancement).
It's best to wait 28 days before applying the WL550.
When properly applied, the WL550 should not make a surface slippery. It's always best to test a small, inconspicuous area prior to full application.
