This is a great little towel shelf. It’s a nice size for a small wall in the bathroom and the chrome finish looks nice and will go with different styled bathroooms. The shelf is very lightweight and doesn’t need to be heavy for solid as it’s just for holding lightweight items like toilet paper and towels. Installation was easy but I would recommend using your own drywall anchors. The anchors included with the shelf are very flimsy.
Other than that, this is a great item!

Exactly what I needed to add more storage in my bathroom. This Voisin towel shelf by Franklin Brass is lightweight yet sturdy and well made. In polished chrome it comes with mounting hardware and easy to follow instructions. Is low profile yet looks good with your best towels or blanket on display. Measures 8.66 inches deep by 4.54 inches high from the bar to the top shelf deck and 26.33 inches wide. Can hold up to 30 pounds max. Great for creating added storage and style.

This Franklin Brass Voisin Collection towel shelf and rack could not have been easier to install. Made from zinc die cast and is surprisingly very lightweight. Shiny chrome finish blends in with various decors. I installed in the laundry room for drying delicate items. I installed one side in a stud and had no problems with installation using the included screws and a drill. All mounting hardware included. First you install the brackets. Sit the rack onto each bracket then tighten the bottom set screws using the supplied Allen wrench. I wish that it folded down but it’s not so wide that it’s obtrusive. Great addition to any laundry or bath room. Installation template included with instructions. Limited lifetime warranty. In case I will need it again I taped the Allen wrench to the side of the rack.

It's always good to upgrade your bathroom from time to time, keeps everything looking new and fresh and doesn't take a ton of money or a major redo in the bath !! Just adding this FRANKLIN BRASS VOISIN Modern 8.66 in. Towel Shelf with Bar in Polished Chrome added a nice space-saving modern cool looking touch to my main bath and gave me a little more space for storage, maybe towels or toilet paper or even a book or magazine to read in the bath !! It's very sturdy, well made and an inexpensive way to upgrade your bathroom !!

This is a nice little shelf. It came fully assembled and included hardware to mount it, either to studs or drywall. Light weight but feels sturdy. I mounted it in a shower stall (not finished yet) where it will be exposed to humidity. But with the chrome treatment I don't expect it degrade too soon. The supplied template makes siting and drilling the holes a snap. Rated at 30 pounds it is also wide enough to hold fresh towels and suspend a wet one from the hanger bar. You can fine tune level with slots in the wall bracket. The shelf secures to those brackets with an allen screw. Oh, and be sure to check the plastic back before opening it. One of the allens came out and was loose inside.

This towel rack is perfect for smaller bathrooms without a lot of wall space. It installs easily above the toilet It can fit one or two towels on the bar plus a large number of towels or toilet paper rolls on the rungs above. The chrome finish is very nice and the unit feels more sturdy than others I've used in the past.
Installation is very simple and a template is included, but here's a tip: If you have a 24" level, use that instead of the template. Figure out where you want to place one of your screws and make a mark. The other screw will go exactly 24" away from the first, and your 24" level will help you find that point.

I recommend this product even though I give it only an Average rating because I think it will serve its purpose and it is inexpensive. It looks nice and it holds towels. As long as you do not abuse it by pulling on it or putting too much weight on it, it will do the job. It weighs less than 2 lbs. but it is rated to hold 30 lbs. I don't intend to put anywhere close to 30 lbs. on it. I have not installed it yet, but installation looks simple. Since I will be installing it in a bathroom that is under construction, I will make sure I have wood behind the drywall where the screws go. If your walls are already in place, you will probably have to use drywall anchors, That is not ideal, but it should not be a problem as long as no one tries to swing on it. In summary, I think this product is worth its price and will serve its purpose.

In the end it worked OK.
Installation was easy. Though, the item came with template for drilling holes – I did not use and went with my own method.
Installation: I like to install such items using studs as support (for centuries). Found one stud easily while the second one was not in the right place (as usual in my dwelling), so had to use dry wall. Step 1: drill one opening and attach one bracket with singe screw (do not tighten too much). Use this bracket as a lever to check on horizontal orientation (use spirit level). Step 2: Make circle (in this case) around position of the second connection point (with pencil and right on the wall). Step 3: draw a cross (X) inside the circle and using it is guide to install the second bracket symmetrically still with one screw (not tight). Step 4: put shelf one and check that it fits well. Step 5: remove shelf, install the rest of the screws, tighten all of them this time and then install the shelf.
Quality: have to say that quality of this shelf I found to be average to poor. The fact that I found (after installation) metal splinter (see picture) left me a little bit disappointed (I would not invest my 20 min to install it if I saw that splinter after un-packaging).
In conclusion: I can recommend that shelf but with very big reservation. QC&QA have to improve.

Despite the word "modern" in the description, I really like the classic appearance of this shelf - it works perfectly in older craftsman period bathrooms. While the polished finish is very good, the gauge of the metal tubing is quite thin and the shelf weighs far less than it looks. That's ok since it's hard to tell once it's installed, but this construction is clearly more replica than it is original.
It came fully assembled and ready to mount. However I have to rate quality average due to the weak mounting hardware. These bevel-edge wall plate mountings have been commonly used in towel bars throughout my 30 years as a contractor, and they fail routinely, either by the set screw loosening or by the plate pulling wall anchors out of unbacked sheetrock. If the mounting screws are going directly into a stud or plaster lathe, they are probably ok. But with a 24" wide mounting, the shelf can only hit one 16" OC wall stud and it would have to be located where you need it. So you are reduced to using cheap plastic anchors for at least one wall plate. I'd suggest instead using true winged moly bolts to assure it won't pull out. Surprisingly, the instructions only warn that it's not a grab bar. But in an 8" deep shelf application, there should have been a load limit specified.
All in all it's a good value as long as you keep in mind that it's a light duty shelf/bar that requires strong mounting due to potential loads and its depth from the wall.
