Q:Will the framing gun work with a 6gal 150 psi compressor? Will it work efficiently? Or will I need a bigger one

            Answer This Question

A:  I just use a Dewalt pancake type compressor and it works just fine. I’m not sure of your type of compressor but I’d imagine you’ll be fine.

            by|Sep 3, 2019

A:  The Framing nailer will work fine with a 6 gallon 150 psi compressor. If you are firing the nailer in a more rapid fashion, you will need to slow down as it kicks on to wait for the compressor to catch up and refill the tank to supply adequate air volume for every shot.

A:  that is what i have and they all work fine

              by|Mar 30, 2020

A:  I bought a 135 psi ( 8 gal ) Husky and it works great - For medium size jobs it works great ( tank fills in about a minute )

                by|Sep 9, 2019

A:  6 gal 150 psi will be more than adequate. Unless you’re using it non stop you will be completely fine with that compressor. I used an 8gal one and used it heavily and it was fine .

No one seems to stock Freeman brand nails. So once I figured out which "in stock" brands of nails fit the Freeman nailers, they have performed great. Moving forward I plan to order cases of Freeman nails on-line, unless I can find a store that stocks them in like 2,000 count boxes. I am attaching a pic of the pallet wood wall I covered in my garage, in record time using the 15GA Finish nailer. Probably 1,000 nails shot without fail.

I think the Freeman Framing/Finish Combo Kit (4-Pieces) was a good price for 4 pieces. So far I've only used the 21-degree full head framing nailer so that is all I can rate at this time. This is my first time owning or using air nailers and I used it to help my elderly aunt fix her deck. It did alright but did not sink about 10% of the nails. Saying that, I'm still happy with it as I'm disabled and have a hard time swinging a hammer for long periods which is why I bought the nailers in the first place. I also used the California Air Tools 8.0 gal. 1.0 HP Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free Electric Air Compressor Model# 8010 (also in pic) which I bought on-line through Home Depot and I love it. It is super quiet. In fact, as you can see how close we were to the air compressor, at times while working on the deck I didn't hear it over the birds singing and had to check to make sure the compressor was running! ;)

                            Great Value for the DIY'er
I had my wife purchase this for my birthday. I always have projects around the house but this is the first time I really needed multiple nail guns. Also planning on finishing my basement and will need the framing nailer as well. Used the brad and angled finish nailers for our coffered ceiling project in the formal dining room. I had never done a ceiling like this before so there was a lot of measuring and drawing done until we had the layout we liked. These guns performed fantastic. I couldn't tell you the difference between a $300 nail gun and $100 nail gun. For the average user doing DIY projects these guns should do the trick. I only had 2 small issues. 1) The non-marring tip from the finish nailer came off a few times when using it at odd angles. No big deal as it just slides back on. 2) Had to use a nail set on about 1-2% of the finish nails. This may have been operator error. When I held the gun firmly in place and pulled the trigger it seemed to set the nails properly. Only when working at odd angles did I have issues, but as I was working alone, it was unavoidable. The ceiling took about a month working only nights and weekends but we are so happy with the results. Now we need to find a nice chandelier that accentuates the amount of sweat equity I put into this project. I bet I told my wife at least 5 times that this was the best birthday present ever. FYI...I used Dewalt 2" and 2 1/2" angled finish nails and Dewalt brad nails.

great product at a great price
The nail gun kit is the best purchase I have made in a very long time. I am always doing work to my home, upgrading, improving, adding, replacing etc. With the 4 (four) different nailers I have all in need in the one kit. Not to mention it comes with a very handy carrying case.Whether you're a do it yourselfer or do construction as a trade , I encourage any and everybody to have one of these. I love mine and would buy again. Thanks Home Depot! This is me in action using my favorite, the framing nailer

                            Great product for the cost!
Decent quality. OK for everyday use. Only issue is that it stops shooting with 4 nails left. Must only insert one sleeve and shoot a couple nails before inserting second sleeve of nails.
