match with the correct style coupler
This is an industrial style connection plug. It is not compatible with the automotive style coupler that shows up in the "frequently bought together" part of the listing. I selected the wrong coupler but it was based on Home Depot's algorithm and previous buyer's mistakes.

Excellent zinc-plated steel that saved me over $3 per connection since I did not have to use a 1/4" NPT barbed adapter, and could fit this industrial male fitting directly to the cut hose. I did not use the included hose clamp, but opted to use a fuel-injection hose clamp instead, since the FI-clamps provide a tighter grip without damaging the hose. This male IM plug mated to female couplers from other manufacturers without any issue whatsoever. Overall, I found it to be a quality product that I would purchase again and would recommend to others.
