5-Piece Stainless Steel Induction Capable Cookware Set with Lids

I am a big fan of stainless steel cookware. There is a big difference between the cheap stuff and the good stuff. This particular set I would consider to be the good stuff. The metal is thick. The handles are strong and solidly attached. There is no coating to worry about scratching or flaking off. They seem extremely durable and I can’t imagine what kind of abuse a person would have to put them through to damage them. I like these pans so much, I wish I would have ordered a set with more pieces.

We ordered this stainless steel cookware set for what would usually be considered the wrong reasons to purchase cookware - my wife needed lighter pans than our thick anodized aluminum nonstick set. But, so far so good. They seem to provide good heat distribution (we have an induction cooktop), and we don't miss the non-stick interiors nearly as much as I thought we would. I like the fact that they can go from stove to oven.

This review is on the Frigidaire 5 - Piece Stainless Steel Induction Capable Cookware set. I didn’t think Home Depot sold pots and pans but they do and this little set is really nice. This set includes a 1.5-quart saucepan and lid, 3-quart sauté pan and a 5-quart stock pot and lid. We have an electric glass cook top and these pans sit perfectly flat which is nice because our old pans have somehow become warped and bent over the years. These pans are very high quality with extremely thick bottoms for even heating. It’s also very convenient to be able to sear meat on the cook top and then put the pan or pot into the oven to finish cooking (the manual says it’s oven safe without the lid for temperatures up to 450 degrees). They look very nice and my wife is extremely happy. Thumbs up

I own stainless steel pots made from three different manufacturers,one mid range, one high-end, and this one from Frigidaire. I would say this set from Frigidaire offers a good value for your money. The pots and pans are very solid, handles are comfortable. I really like the glass lids that allow me to see the food during cooking.

My wife was looking for new pans we have a ceramic top stove and the company suggest that you use stainless steel pans she also wanted dishwasher safe pans when she started using these pans her other set was put aside these pans heat evenly they retain temperature where she wants it to stay and cleaning them is effortless I recommend these pans to all chefs

The Frigidaire stainless steel cookware set is a solid, quality set that works with all heat sources! The stainless steel set seems pretty durable, but surprisingly not that heavy at all. Most notably, it will work with highly efficient induction cook tops which many are headed these days. I absolutely love induction cook tops and will not go back to gas or electric (yuck!) anymore! Ease of cleaning, better heat control, and high efficiency - need I say more? The stainless steel set will easily handle the hot ovens. Just be aware that this is not a non-stick set, and you'll have to contend with more baked-on goodness, lol. But hey, you can scour the heck out of stainless steel cookware and it shines even better! This is a pretty good value for a nicely designed and well made stainless steel cookware set.

I would highly recommend these pots and pans. I received this cookware a month ago and have cooked with them several times. These pans are made exceptionally well, nice sturdy handles, a substantial weight to them, not flimsy. The lid fits both deep pot and fry pan. They seemed to cook evenly and cleanup was done easily. They have a nice shine to the pans and look very nice in my kitchen.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this cookware since they are offered at an affordable price compared to other stainless steel sets. The cookware is solidly made. I think that they will last a long time. The finish of this set is not the reflective shiny surface you'd normally think of with stainless steel. This set has a brushed appearance making it less reflective. There are horizontal lines in the finish if you look closely. This finish would be better for those who don't like the look of a lot of fingerprints. As long as you preheat the cookware before you start cooking in them, they are relatively non-stick. Clean up is really easy because you can just put them in the dishwasher. This is super convenient. The only thing I cannot comment on is exactly what the nickel content of the cookware is. I assume its fine as these seem to be a quality made product. I found each piece of this set to be a good usable size. The pot is large enough to cook a whole box of pasta. The pan is a nice size to cook a pound of hamburger for tacos or to cook frozen pasta meals. The smaller pot is great for soup. It is a great starter set. I would recommend this set to those who want to try out stainless steel cookware because they have a good price for the quality.

Home Depot is great - the issue is with the product, cookware is inferior in my opinion. Bought these because they were a deal of the day and were the size of pans that I needed. Washed before using the first time - afterwards I was boiling a pot of water in the largest pot - the water turned a rusty color and the pot became spotted or almost pitted on the inside and the exterior of the pot - not sure why. Also, had the lid on the pot while boiling the water and the knob on the lid got extremely hot and somehow water was getting trapped between knob and glass. Tried to boil water in the other 2 pots and the same thing happened - rusty water and spots. It is not my water - I boiled water for pasta in a different pot and it was clear as can be. Too bad, because the sizes of the pots are good and they seem sturdy. Returning these pots today to the store.
