Your answer depends on how much paint crosses over onto the tape. If there is very little paint crossing over, then you can easily leave this tape on. The problem is when there is a heavy amount of paint crossing onto the tape and left to dry. When the tape is removed, the dried coating will tear and leave a ragged edge. So, try to paint your edge so that very little "overage" goes onto the tape. You will be fine. Be sure you press along the edge of the tape so there is a complete seal. You don't want any paint sneaking under the edge. Honestly, this tape removes with the most ease and does the least damage of any masking tape I have ever used. I hope that helps.
Delicate is for surface you are taping. No tape will last long in the elements such as hot sun, rain and moisture so plane your timetable well
It is a good tape.
