Do not buy this product! Absolute piece of crap! Worst product I've ever bought! Basically fell apart taking it out of the bag....impossible to wrap a duct with it. A roll of 1-ply toilet paper would even be easier to apply and probably would be more effective! Will never buy another Frost King product!

I am in a DIYer and in the process of putting my house on the market to sell. The home was built in the 1970's and the insulation around the heating ducts definitely looked like it has been there since the 1970's so I decided to clean it up by installing some new insulation. I'm not familiar with all the products out there and this looked like a convenient option so I purchased several rolls to complete the project. After wrapping the first duct with this product I regretted my decision. As soon as I began using this product, I noticed that the insulation separates from the foil making it very hard to wrap the ducts without the insulation falling away. The insulation also seems to shred very easily. The foil layer is so fragile that it tears very easily leaving the yellow insulation showing through requiring me to cover it up with foil tape. By the time the project was done, there was a large amount of foil tape covering the tears all over the duct. Because of the poor quality of this product, it made my project considerably harder than it needed to be. After I completed the project, (I know I should have done this sooner) I returned to Home Depot to see what other products might be available if I ever have to do it again. I found other rolls of foil lined insulation that seemed to of a much higher quality. I absolutely do not recommend this product and encourage others to find another option.

                Complete and utter junk!!
The silver coating (the critical vapor barrier) tears if you look at it too hard and it WILL tear at multiple angles when you cut it with scissors or a knife or bump against it after installation, and once it tears the tears grow fast with any subsequent mechanical disturbance. The manufacturer has committed a crime against humanity making and trying to sell this worthless garbage. I'm 64 years old, a power DIYer and this easily makes my top 10 of the worst crud I've ever bought. It's so bad I've resolved to never buy anything from Frost King again because they've proven beyond doubt their quality control is in the toilet and this product is just so unredeemably disgusting. The price is also ridiculously high for what it is.
