Frost King Elite Choice Door Weatherseal Replacement - 1/2 inch x 3/4 inch x 7 feet long is an ideal replacement for worn out or torn weather stripping around your door. Keep in mind when purchasing this product that it is only 7 feet long which replaces only one side of the long side of your door, not the entire two sides and top. The other challenge to be aware of depending on the slot in your door casing is that installation goes a lot quicker when using a putty knife to help insert the "tail end" into the slot in the door jamb.Good price value for replacing only a portion of damaged weather stripping instead of buying for the entire door jamb.

The Frost King 3/4' x 1/2" x 84" Brown Elite Lifetime Door Weatherseal is effective but pricey! Important to know! - This requires a “kerf” or a slim notch in the door jamb (see pics). It does NOT stick-on! - It is a single, 7’ roll - 3 kits are required for a door (2 sides, and cut 1 for the top) The FrostKing Weatherseal Model # ES184B is sturdy and installs without tools (other than when cutting to length). It seals well, looks like it should last a long time, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. The non-toxic, eco-friendly materials are a nice touch. It’s also available in white. On the downside it’s significantly more expensive than FrostKing’s own “vinyl-clad foam kerf door seal” (Model # DS7W/25) product, which is a fraction of the price. Maybe this is more durable and will pay off in the long run. Some suggestions for installing - you may need a screwdriver to pry out the old weatherstripping, or pliers to grasp it and pull it out of the kerf. Mine tore apart when I did this, so don’t expect to re-use the old weather stripping! The “tail” was a tight fit in the kerf in my door jamb - It helped to press it in with a blunt tool, like a large flat-blade screwdriver). If it pulls out easily it’s probably not fully seated yet. Try again and press harder. Note: We received this item free from Home Depot’s “Seeds” program. Home Depot only asked that we provide an honest review.

Didn’t stay in the doorframe. Returned them both.

I order this to replace a foam strip that had deteriorated. I pulled out the old, and getting this into the slot was easy ...at first. The issue is that this rubber gasket is wound pretty tight and it's "memory" kept it from staying in the slot before I could get it to fit the whole way down the door. Maybe if I had another person around to hold it in place? It just kept recoiling . Very frustrating. I even considered using a few tacks, But, no, it's going back.

I need this to replace a piece that was worn out on my French door. Easy install anyone could do it
