Q:We are trying to figure out how to fix or replace current handrail posts on our front porch steps...

A:  I would think that the Newel post can be mounted on brick just like concrete. I mounted mine by drilling holes in the concrete with a hammer drill and masonry bit, then installed anchor bolts with the Fypon plate.
