Q:Can it be used on a metal roof

A:  Hello, we recommend you contacting the metal roofing manufacturer for approved ridge venting products. That being said, it may be used on most metal roofing systems. Thank you

    A:  I used this product under the metal ridge cap on my roof. I needed to seal out snow from being wind blown into the attic space. Place the cobra fabric down then the metal ridge cap on top of it and fasten down.

          A:  Hello, we recommend this product be used with asphalt shingles. For metal roof installations, it may be best to contact the manufacturer of the metal roof system for ridge vent details or acceptable options for their particular system. Thank you for your question

            A:  It is impossible to install without removing the ridge cap. I cut into strips and tried to push it under and that method was very difficult. I gave up and removed the ridge and install went well.

              Like the vent, not the coiled nails.
              The vent is nice, but the coil of nails didn't do too well. We installed the ridge cap using the coiled nails and our gun. It blew almost all of the nails right through the shingle. Some were nailed a few times just to get a nail that didn't go through the shingle. Guess what? First good wind and we lost half of the cap. Second windy day lost the rest. We nailed new cap by hand and all is well. The bonus pieces of vent you get on the inside of the roll work great to clean the grill or other items!
