Product Overview

The perfect finishing touch for your new roof should be a protective and distinctive ridge cap shingle. Timbertex Premium Ridge Cap Shingles will accentuate the natural beauty of your newly installed architectural shingle roof. Their multi-layer design adds depth and dimension to your roof while offering critical protection at the highest-stress areas of your roof (The hips and ridges). Timbertex Premium Ridge Cap Shingles also provide a high-quality alternative to using cut-up strip shingles as your ridge cap.

These aren't worth the money. Every two pieces are bonded together. Try to separate them and they just tear. Maybe once we get a sunny day they can sit out and work, but for the price, old three tabs are a MUCH BETTER CHOICE!!

Hello, while we're sorry for your particular experience, TimberTex is a Double-Layer ridge cap shingle, unlike typical 3-tab or single layer ridge caps. As a double-layer ridge cap shingle, the two layers are intentionally laminated together at the factory and are not intended to be torn apart for installation. The double-layer design provides the added dimension on the roof and also two layers of weather protection. Again, while we're sorry for your experience, unfortunately, the product seems to have been installed/used in an unintended manner. There are 10 - 12" x 36" double-layer shingles per bundle. Each of those shingles contains 3 double-layer ridge cap segments. When installed at the published 8" exposure, each bundle covers the intended 20 lineal feet. Thank you. gaf

We are sorry that you had some difficulty with our Timbertex Ridge Cap Shingles. Timbertex Ridge Caps are a double-layer ridge cap product unlike using 3-tab strip shingles as ridge cap. As such, Timbertex has two layers sealed together at the factory and are not meant to be separated into individual single-layer shingles. Each bundle of Timbertex contains 10 sheets (double layer sheets) which are then split by the installer into 30 individual ridge cap shingles. If you need more information, please reach out to our technical services team who can discuss the design and installation of this ridge cap shingle. They can be reached at 1-800-ROOF-411. Thanks. gaf

Good product...if you can find it!
I lost about a dozen of the top layer of Timbertex charcoal ridge caps during hurricane Ida. The rest of my Timberline HD roof was fully intact. I am being told that there are none within a hundred miles of my location. On a whim, I went to the Harahan, La Home Depot, and lo and behold there was a whole pallet just sitting there. Do NOT believe what you see on this website and certainly do not believe what the employees tell you over the phone!!
