Fire rated
We use this under our membrane roofs to achieve a class A fire rating. Most of the time if we are using class A insulation, we don't need it but if we are just going over the deck with membrane, this is a great product to use.

The stated '' LIFETIME WARRANTY'' has so many ''rules'' it basically has NO warranty at all. It's just $200.00 felt paper. fancy WORDS signifying nothing. I'd like to see a VIDEO showing a fire test-- and a fire class rating posted in the info. Any chance of posting that for customers GAF ?

Hello, unlike typical asphalt felts, this product is tested by UL to provide a Class A fire system rating underneath asphalt shingles and a variety of other roof coverings, such as wood, metal, and slate. If you are not in need of an upgraded system fire rating, you may want to consider a typical roofing underlayment which will be of lower cost. As you're probably aware, many wood, metal and slate systems do not achieve a Class A fire rating by themselves. VersaShield, when used in these systems, helps upgrade the fire rating from Class B or Class C to a Class A.
