Nominal diameter measured at 0.10 inch. The nail gauge should be in the 11-1/2 to 12-1/2 gauge ballpark. A GAF product expert would know the gauge for sure. As mentioned, an 1/8" masonry drill bit should work well.

Will these corrode aluminum flashing?

You would need to be the judge on the length and I dont know if they make them. I actually use liquid nail on the tiles to help secure and make sure the nails hold and no rattling or warping. You may want to put down vertical 1/2 " wood strips to nail into. You can make it so most the nails would land on a strip. They are evenly spaced.
