12-Watt 140-Degree Dark Grey Motion Activated Solar Outdoor Integrated LED Flood Light with Wall and Post Mount

This self-contained security light system cost-effectively solved my problem of unwanted people driving down my 90-year-old mother's long country driveway for a fraction of the cost to hire an electrical contractor to install a similar wired system. I hung 6 security lights from 5 poles to provide 100% coverage of her teardrop driveway turnaround in front of her house. All security lights charged 100% within 2 days and have performed flawlessly since. Two suggestions which would have made my installation smoother: 1) A metal pole-clamp bracket, instead of plastic, would have been more resistant to over-torqueing and bracket deformation (Mounting bolts provided must by lightly torqued), and 2) A mounting pole should be offered for this security light as an option. [I created my own pole for 15-foot-high security light mount with (1) 2", Sch 40 X 10-foot black iron pipe, (1) 1 1/2", Sch 40 X 10-foot black iron pipe, (1) 2" X 1 1/2" rubber pipe coupling, (1) 1/4" X 3" bolt & locknut and (2) 60-pound concrete mix bags.. All materials available at Home Depot.

Great solar light that came with everything you need to attach it to a wall or a pole. My pictures show it leaning up against my house since it has been raining and I have not been able to attach it to the wall. But it works great! I needed light to illuminate part of my backyard whetn my small dogs go out at night because of the coyotes we have around here. This light is very bright and does the trick.

This is really a lovely sleek light fixture. Modern style with a very practical purpose. It comes with instructions and hardware to mount as you wish on a wall or on a post. It is big enough to be powerful and and not so big that it will flail around in our very windy climate on the prairie. It will go on many many times a night if there is motion on just one days solar charge. Hoping this will deter predators near our livestock pen!

This is a fantastic outdoor flood light. Truly impressed with the light output and area it covers. The LED light is so white and bright and crisp. It charged rather quickly. Left it outside late one afternoon and it was fully charged later that next morning. It’s surprisingly light in weight and can be either mounted on a pole or wall mounted. I got this specifically for my garbage/recycling cans area on side of my house. Normally pitch black area so now it has light not only visually but for safety. I love that it has a motion sensor because I wouldn’t want it on all night as my neighbors bedrooms are right there and it can be blinding light and extremely disruptive. The light stays on for about one minute which is perfect. Not sure if it does go on frequently throughout the night maybe because of critters tripping it but I’m sure my neighbors will tell me if it’s too sensitive but so far it’s performing perfectly. Temporarily I have it affixed to a pole (from my unassembled seasonal gazebo) which works for right now. When things get back to normal in this country, I’ll find a more permanent place for it when I can get those materials easily. But for right now it’s functional, attractive and so worth having it. Solar is the best, no wires, easy to relocate and minimal set up. Another quality product from Gama Sonic. Love it!

This is such a great addition to the darkest portion of my yard. My shed has no lights nor is there a flood light on that side of my house. It came with wall screws and also came with a post connecter mount. Installation is not difficult, but I did notice the screws needed to be gently inserted, as the first two started to strip. So, I used some sturdy deck screws for the other two and then replaced the first two also. It gives off a great deal of light and so far, I’m very pleased with it and will be purchasing one for another area, up a little higher.

12-Watt 140-Degree Dark Gray Motion Activated Outdoor Integrated LED Flood Light with Bonus 6-Watt Solar Security Light I am so glad that Home Depot has solar street lights to keep my yards bright lights on during power outages while my electric sensor motion flood lights go off as back up on solars I appreciate those solar street lights to bright up my yards during evenings, even during power outages. I feel safe to able seeing outside dark evenings. Easy to install on the pole. Bright white that I like very much. Not warm white. Good quality. Very useful to have solar street lights. Plus, sensor motion to come on brighter. Only one con is to remove all 12 screws bottom of the solar security light to replace the several years of use battery.

We love living in the Pacific Northwest but the days get shorter and it’s hard to go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. I was happy to see that our new home had pathway lights along the sidewalk from the driveway to the front door, but we didn’t realize that some of them work and they are dim; not much help. We contemplated replacing them but do we stay with the electric wire kind or go the solar route? Gama Sonic came to our rescue with their solar powered motion activated flood light. One light does the job of all of those smaller lights. I could have mounted it on a post in the ground but decided to attach it to the eave of the house. I was able to easily mount it onto the side of the eaves and required no electrical installation. Now I come home and the light is activated and my path is bright and clear to the door (1440 lumens!) and stays on for 60 seconds. As you can see from the photos, the path of the sidewalk and the driveway are illuminated quite a bit. The panel is constructed with rustproof resin and the solar panel is protected by glass. The Game Sonic solar LED flood light not only lights the path, but it provides safety to my family and friends. It will also deter any thief or large animals from our yard. I am extremely pleased with this light!

I am a fan of Gama Sonic Solar Lighting and this GS-201 is another one of their quality products that impressed me. This is a large, sturdy flood light that weighs almost 5 pounds and gives off plenty of light with 56 LEDs when motion is detected up to 40" away. It is plastic, but the solar panel is glass. I like that when it is mounted, the 15" x 6.5" solar panel is on a slight angle to drain any water from it. This comes with hardware for your choice of mounting on a wall or post and an instruction sheet. There are (4) 4" screws with a washer, lock washer, and nut. I wish they were stainless steel, though. There are also (4) 1.75" wood screws with anchors. The plastic pole support easily would hold a 3" pole/post. (I practiced with the post mounting accessory on my vacuum cleaner -you can see that a 1.5" post is too small.) An on/off switch would have come in handy when setting it up - my eyes got blinded by those 1440 lumens a few times while working with it. There are tiny LED lights on the bottom. A blue LED will show either Charging in Day or Working in Night. The red LED will show the level of charge remaining in the battery (High is 100%, Medium is %50%, Low is 25%). The Li-Ion battery can be replaced when it no longer holds a charge (which is estimated to be in about 3 years or 1,000 charges). I was planning on trying this on my flagpole, but the motion sensor is too sensitive for a flagpole that has some swaying like mine does. Then I thought I could attach it to the 4x4s on the deck, but it will not fit as the screw holes are 4-3/8" apart horizontally and 1-7/8" vertically (center to center). I really love this light and I will just keep trying to find the perfect spot that is between 8 and 15 feet high, in direct sunlight, and easily reachable to keep it clean. It sure would have been easier, though, for me to find a suitable location if this light were a dusk-to-dawn type.

Gama Sonic 12-Watt 140-Degree Dark Grey Motion Activated Solar Outdoor Integrated LED Flood Light with Wall and Post Mount – When I unpacked the light fixture I was surprised and impressed. The battery was partially charged and the light came on immediately; it is very bright. The size of the fixture is much larger than I was expecting, the head alone is about 8.5 inches wide by 18 inches long. The solar panel covers nearly the entire top and the unit looks and feels like commercial-grade quality. It looks a lot like the new LED street lights. Before I decided where to mount it, I took the light outside at night to determine the best location; it lit up the area great wherever I held it. I then checked the next day to ensure adequate sunlight during the day. The light fixture can be surface mounted or mounted to a 2 to 3-inch pole. The battery is expected to last 3 years or about 1000 charging cycles and looks to be easily replaceable.

I was literally "blinded by the light". This quality light has some juice in the battery and when I slid it out of the box it turned on! So be careful. I think this light is brighter than my street lights! This thing is surprisingly heavy. Very durable. Due to the angle of the solar panel I wouldn't point it south because it won't catch much light in the winter time. I wish it had a dusk to dawn feature at a lower power. The on and off can be a little annoying for household use.
