The Gama Sonic Light my Shed IV (GS-16B) is a solar shed light that is built with our latest solar patented technology: the GS solar LED light bulb which illuminates at 250 lumens in a bright white (6000K) color temperature. The solar shed light is ideal for illuminating sheds, utility closets and outdoor work spaces. Constructed of heavy-duty rigid resin, the solar shed light can be mounted to either a ceiling or wall and will attach onto any exterior material such as; metal, wood and plastic. Installation is simple and does not require electrical wiring. Just secure the solar panel on the outside of the building where light is needed, hang the light inside, connect the two with the included 9-foot-cord and then let the sun do the rest. This fixture comes with the ability to attach a second light (sold separately) and operates by the connected pull-cord.
  • New solar technology: the GS solar LED light bulb is our new patented technology that takes the conventional idea of a light bulb and incorporates it into outdoor solar lamps and lamp posts. It boasts a 10 year life span and creates an abundance of light that is like the 360° light spread of a customary incandescent bulb
  • Easy DIY solution: the low-voltage solar shed light installs safely and easily onto any type of material, including metal, wood and plastic and there's no electrical wiring required; just secure the solar panel on the outside of the building where light is needed, place the LED light inside, connect the 2 with the included 9 ft. cord and then let the sun do the rest
  • Bright solar shed light: our 4th generation solar shed light delivers a bright-white light (6000K) and provides 250 Lumens for up to 4 hours of duration
  • No electrical wiring is required for installation, making this Gama Sonic solar shed light the perfect light to install while offering an energy and money saving alternative to electric or gas-powered outdoor lighting
  • Fully solar powered: fitted with a powerful, efficient monocrystalline solar panel, the shed lights rechargeable Ni-Mh battery (included) uses the power of the sun to recharge during the day
  • Solar panel should be installed on the side of the building (the sunniest location works best) and an integrated compass allows for effortlessly adjusting the solar panel to help ensure optimal charging results.
  • Built to last: this solar light is constructed with a weather resistant and rustproof, heavy-duty resin frame, making it a durable and reliable asset to your home; the integrated battery pack is also crafted to last for about 3 years or roughly 1,000 charges

Great Solar Lighting Set, Limited run time
At the end of my rural drive where I have no power, I've had a GamaSonic Sconce lamp (Orion) for several years. It has performed well only needing a battery replacement this year. So my expectations for this 2 light shed kit were high, and I am not disappointed. The Gama Sonic lights use a replaceable “Edison style” LED bulb, and the photovoltaic cell is on a separate, aimable mount. They use a 4.8V 2000mA NiMH battery to store charge during the day, and the lights have on/off pull strings to use the stored electricity at night. Light output is moderate (500 lumens at peak output), similar to a 40W incandescent, but adequate for use in a shed Claimed run time for the lights when the battery is fully charged is only "up to 3 hours." That's very limited if you use these where you spend a fair amount of time; run time should be longer or Gama Sonic should offer a battery upgrade. Made in China

          Perfect for Small Buildings
Gama Sonic's Light My Shed two solar lights are pretty cool for small outbuildings like work sheds, garden sheds, greenhouse or loafing sheds. Anywhere you need to get into that electricity can not. PROS: Solar Powered, Bright Illumination without electricity, Low maintenance and water resistant. Plus you get two lights with this set up and they only turn on when you pull the on cord. CONS: The hanging wire between the solar panel and the two lights themselves. I don't care for the look but I don't have electricity out in my greenhouse. Makes for good visibility in a greenhouse where we store lots of winter items and it's dark by 5 p.m. These work great.

Good white lite for any shed.
The Gamma Sonic lite my shed set comes with everything you will need to light up any shed to give you easy access to everything in the shed or storeroom day or night. My job took about an hour, but I put it in a chicken coop with feed room on one end. Mounting the solar cell was simple, I had only one option because of the trees but it was an optimal spot for sunlight even on cloudy days. Then you run the longer cable from the solar cell to the switched light that has the battery in it, and it controls the second light with this one switch. The bulbs are screw in, so replacement is simple if you damage them, otherwise they will last for many years, and they are covered by a plastic dome which will protect them from accidental bumps. You should go to the Gamma Sonic web site; they have some really neat solar lighting items that I have never seen before.

The Gama Sonic Light My Shed IV Solar Shed Light with Integrated LED Area Light with GS Solar LED...
The Gama Sonic Light My Shed IV Solar Shed Light with Integrated LED Area Light with GS Solar LED Light Bulb was just what I was looking for for my chicken coop. I wanted to have a light that didn't need AC power or standard batteries. By using the Gama Sonic set up, mission accomplished! Most of the parts in the set up are made of plastic, but that being said the plastic is well made and should last a long time. The instructions are easy to follow and installation was easy. All needed hardware is included. The wire leading from the solar panel to the light is 9 feet long, plenty long enough. The light installs by way of a slide on/off bracket. The solar panel has a compass to show you what direction to mount. The pictures below are worth a thousand words and give you a good idea of how easy the set up installs. I am very happy with this set up, another great product from Gama Sonic.

This Gama Sonic model GS-16B "Light My Shed IV" solar-powered shed lighting is just what we neede...
This Gama Sonic model GS-16B "Light My Shed IV" solar-powered shed lighting is just what we needed for one of our storage sheds. It's an old wooden building that we refer to as "the Carriage House" and we have no power to it. It had a jury-rigged power line to it at one time that we had to remove because it was totally unsafe. This solar shed lighting kit will allow us to finally provide light to the interior of this shed whose only source of light is a window in the door (that the previous owner covered with aluminum foil.) While I'm not at that property right now to install the shed lighting kit, I've read the instructions and installation is very simple: (1) Mount the solar panel soemwhere outside on the shed wall and aim it at the sun. (2) drill a hole in the wall to feed the power wire from the panel to the light location. (3) Mount the light inside the shed and plug in the power wire. (4) Wait a day or two for the battery to get fully charged and start using your shed light. The unit appears to be sturdy and well-made to handle various weather conditions. The rechargeable battery is replaceable (4.8V-2000mA). The shed light doesn't require a lot of power because the light is a special Gammasolar bulb designed for this type of application. A pull chain turns the light on and off. The only thing that would have made this a better solution is if it had been the two-light version (Model GS-16B2) so we could have a light in both halves of the shed building. Perhaps I could buy the second light and power cord to adapt this kit for that purpose, but the only one I;ve found costs $85.

I used this on our chicken house. There was no way I could pay to run power out to it so this is the perfect solution. It installed easily with a few screws. Its been up for about a week now and works every night without problem. As you can see by my pictures- I have it installed in a area that has a good tree cover, but the unit is adjustable so I was able to turn it just right to catch enough sun, we use it daily.

The Gama Sonic Light My Shed IV Solar Shed Light Clear Outdoor Integrated LED Area Light with GS Solar LED Light Bulb is just what I was looking for my gardening shed. I've used lights with batteries in my garden shed that weren't that powerful and had to be replaced all too often. This is a nice idea as I'm already using a solar panel on the shed roof for a floodlight into the garden area. This one consists of a small pole (18-inches) with the solar panel on one end, a small wire about ten feet going to a light fixture with an LED bulb. The solar panel unit is attached to pole that is mounted to the side of the shed with a plastic mounting bracket and the wire goes to the light fixture inside. They include screws to attach the bracket and fixture. They didn't hold with my shed wall that is two thin plastic surfaces sides with a waffle air space between them. I went to machine screws, wide washers and nuts backing them to hold the bracket. Installing the light went well, but this is a large light, both the fixture and solar panel, compared to others. The ceiling in my shed is low and the light fixture is relatively large so I mounted it on a side wall. The large fixture is a function of the bulb they use, I believe, which should be redesigned to save space, since its LED's. Positioning the solar panel was easy as it has three articulated joints and they even put a small compass on the end panel so you get it pointed South. The solar panel can power two light fixtures that they offer separately. I would have preferred mounting the solar panel flat on the roof as I did with the other panel I mentioned, this one with a pole won't let you do it. Overall, I installed it, works fine. Its value primarily is for those who need side wall mounting of the solar panel to the shed. If the pole isn't necessary, I'd look for a rooftop mounting. If you can't mount the solar panel on the roof this is an alternative.

These lights are very nice for a shed. It saved quite a bit of money vs. hiring an electrician. They were easily installed by the handyman. Maybe not as bright as an actual bulb, but will work fine.
