Do you have to replace any filters? If so, how often?
This indoor smoker does not require the replacement of any filters.
How far apart are the feet? I need to make sure it will fit on my stand. I see the width is 16.5 and length is 20.5, but what about the feet underneath? My stand has a slightly smaller L/W dimensions but will hold over 100lbs
The distance between this unit's legs is 14-1/2”.
Does the smoker come with a supply of drip pans to get started or do I need to order them separately?
You will have to purchase them separately.
There is only one drip pan included with the P9SBAAS6VBB. The drip pan is part WC01X21125 and can be found on our GE Appliances Parts website. We also offer foil liners that can be used to catch the drippings before they reach the tray. The foil liners are part WC02X21282. -Don@GEAppliances
I live in an apartment. Is it safe to use indoors? Will it achieve the same effect as an outdoor smoker?
You don't get the same smoke rings. Your food turns out very good and tender.

Do it have a vent
Yes, the smoker has front and rear vents. The smoker should be positioned such that it has 4 inches of clearance to all sides of the appliance, whenever possible. Position the smoker away from flammable materials and any items that may be sensitive to heat. Place the smoker on a level and stable surface indoors, such as a kitchen countertop. How big of a brisket can fit in here
The capacity of the smoker is 1 brisket (cut in half). The rack can hold 15 lbs. Also, the dimension from the lowest rack position to the ceiling is 9-1/4" and the useable width of the rack is 8-1/4". Lauren@GEAppliances
How much space is on each rack? Trying to see the largest piece of meat I can put on one rack.
The rack dimensions are 11-3/16” Length x 9-1/4" Width and can each hold 15 lbs. There is 3” in between racks. There are multiple rack positions, plus the racks can easily be removed entirely to create additional space for something like a beer can chicken or pork shoulder that stands taller in the cavity. Can I use Kirkland brand wood pellets for this smoker?
This appliance is designed for use with only food-safe hardwood pellets intended for pellet grills or smokers.
