Not sure what you're asking. This panel is very similar if not identical to what you might find in a well-maintained RV park. If installing at a residence, you will need a sub-panel and a 50-amp breaker if it is installed remotely. Make sure it is installed per NEC and any local code requirements.

Looking at the product sheet, it says to refer to table P for wire size range information. The li...

As described. It’s has breakers and receptacles. I did not get electrocuted while installing it, which was a plus.

What gauge wiring did everyone run under ground for this 50 amp system.

I didn’t run underground but used it as a sub panel. I installed 6g as it met the 75 amp load rating.

Can you loop feed this panel

Yes you can loop multiple RV disconnects together you will have to look at your national electrical code determine your wire size and your demand factor for how many you can put together in one row if I remember right you can put 5-30amp pedestals on a 80amp breake And 3-50amp pedestals on a 90p breaker with wire size bass on breaker but remember to look up the calculations yourself these are just suggestions Thank you from R&R electric

Anyone know the panel mounting hole dimensions?

Asked by adbeng May 6, 2019

Answers

Not sure what you're asking here, as this is a surface mount box. The only "hole" would be the knockouts for conduit or wire, depending on location. In most situations (especially if used outside) you would need to run at least 3/4" or 1" conduit, depending on how you decide to wire it. Be sure to check the NEC and any local codes before installing.

As far as I’m aware you can’t.

Do I have to install a grounding rod with this box?

Asked by Daniel April 7, 2019

No because it should already be grounded at the source. You do not want current to flow in a ground loop.

This product was exactly what I was looking for to install an EV charger outside my house. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because I found the description on the website to be a little incomplete. I wasn't sure if the 50amp and 20amp breakers where included or available separately. I was confusing because it mentioned a 20 amp GCFI in the same statement. Maybe I missed that somewhere. For the record, everything is included (50 Amp dual pole, 20 amp single pole & 20 amp GCFI).

This box is really well built. Easy to follow instructions made installation a piece of cake. Anyone with some basic knowledge of wiring and circuits can install this. I can now safely, confidently plug in our 50 amp RV in the driveway. The 20 amp gfci recepticle is a bonus.

I purchased two of these boxes to be installed at my office and my weekend house to use for charging my electric vehicle. They were well made and easy to install. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a NEMA 14-50 outlet.

Keep in mind, I am a Electrician. ALL OTHERS DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! This 70 amp (rated) box is very well constructed. Nema 3R rated for exterior use. My RV is 30 amp 120 volt. So I swapped out the 50 amp 240 volt receptacle for a 30 amp 120 volt RV receptacle. I then ran a 50 amp supply line to the main lugs with proper grounding. With the history of some newer RV's drawing more current on the 30 amp 120 volt sites and burning out the sites receptacle. I can just plug into the sites 50 amp receptacle with this setup and I'm good to go. EDIT: I just moved to Yuma, AZ and the site I am in doesn't have a separate 120 volt gfci to run my aux A/C. But it DOES have the 50 amp receptacle. Yeah, I'm golden because I am able to use the new GE box, plug it into the the sites 50 amp. Then I plug my RV into the new box and use the auxiliary 20 amp 120 volt gfci this new box has to run my additional A/C unit. No Sweating for me!
