Good Concept, but Challenging in Practice
The GEARWRENCH 3/8 in. Drive Slotted/Phillips/Pozidriv Screwdriver Bit Socket Set is a good concept for multiple screwdriver bits to be used with a 3/8 inch drive. In use, though, it can be challenging when using with a ratchet drive, especially when using the slot drive. In applying torque to the bit, it's easy to "cam" out rounding off the screw head since it is difficult to apply direct pressure when using a ratchet handle. Best used with a screwdriver-type handle. They do come with a handy storage strip.

Wish I'd had these 2 weeks ago
I wish I'd had this screwdriver bit socket set two weeks ago when my brother and I were putting in a new furnace duct in my house. I came up with a "useable" solution to my problem of putting in zip screws when my drill quit on me, but it took my 3/8 in ratchet, adapter, socket, and screwdriver bit to do the same job I could have done with just the Phillips' head socket bit and my ratchet. I am going to enjoy having this handy set! It will make lots of small jobs much easier than using a screwdriver, I think.

Good Starter Set
GearWrench 7pc Socket Bit Set Gearwrench has put together a set of sockets that will help most mechanics get started with socket driven bits. The have included 3 phillips screw bits and 3 straight bits and a #2 Pozidriv bit with a handy socket mount tray. This is a good starter set for the DIY’er out there. As time goes by you always find the need for replacing the missing bits that you find the next time you get back to your tool box. This set will fit well in a tool box or tool drawer and keep your bits in any order you find useful.

Well made and organized tool set
May not be the most popular tools in your toolbox but you will be very happy to have them when you need them. The Gearwrench, seven-piece, 3/8” drive screwdriver bit socket set model 80577 is a well-designed and manufactured toolset. The seven different bits comprise all the most popular types of fasteners drives from straight blade, Philipps, and Pozidriv. Pozidriv is similar to a Phillips, but it is designed to not “cam out” as a Phillips is. The sockets are high polished chrome and well defined with the type of driver stamped into each socket. The sockets are organized onto a very nice socket rail that can be wall-mounted. The drive bits are made from S2 and press-fit into the sockets. You can remove warn-out or damaged bits with a 3/16” punch from the drive side but re-installing a new bit takes a press or vice as the fit is very tight. S2 tool steel which the “S” series of tool steel is used to make tools subject to repetitive pounding while retaining some ductility. S2 can be made harder than 8650 or chrome vanadium but is less ductile and more prone to shattering. S2 is commonly used for such tools as chisels, dies, punch, and shear applications. My point being is that some ductility does not mean you can torque the heck out of the bit and not expect the bit to snap off. I found the quality and workmanship of this toolset to be very good with no issues found. Made in Taiwan, recommended.

Smaller Handy Sizes. Precise Fit.
7 common size bits that work well with ⅜” drives. Smaller size bits for ⅜” drives proved quite handy in just a week of DIY use. Performed well with most frequently used ratchet- ⅜”. Bits fit fasteners and drives well. Bits solidly attached to base making for precise stay in place control. Size markings slightly small & hard to read- not really a big deal as matching tip to fastener is easy enough. Great for those times when a screwdriver doesn’t quite have room or when extra torque is required. Great set for typical size fasteners. Another tough durable GearWrench set of tools that exceeded expectations and quickly proved an asset.

Good set of screwdriver bits
This is a nice small set of screwdriver bits you can use with a 3/8 impact tool or socket wrench. The packaging is pretty good, you just have to pull a staple to get the bits out. Another nice thing is the holder the bits come with. The bits come off it easily and go back on easily but seem secure. Having a good way to store the bits helps me have a chance to find them when I need them. I do not like the fact that the straight bits are metric sized, however, and 3/8 seems like an odd choice for the driver tool. I have two 1/4 impacts and two 1/2 impact but no 3/8. These bits will probably not stand up to heavy pounding with an impact anyway. So no big downside. More sizes of bits would be nice too.

Gearwrench does it again!
My Review for GEARWRENCH 3/8 in. Drive Slotted/Phillips/Pozidriv Screwdriver Bit Socket Set Bit Socket Set (7-Piece). Product arrived promptly. I gotta say I love my gearwrench tools. They meet in the middle of the high dollar tool truck tools and the ultra cheap tools out there. The sockets themselves I found the bits are not removable from their holders. Not a big deal. It is just something you see in the higher priced tools. But I gotta say what I love the most is the socket rail. Most like this are either bulky or flimsy. These are neither. I think this add value to the product.

Nice set of screw bits
This is a nice set of screw bits. A nice size range. The rack help keeps the sockets from getting misplaced. I used theses on a ratchet and they worked great to remove some of the stubborn screws. I am not sure if they would work on a impact gun as they don’t say if they are rated for a impact gun. I like that they are short and can get in some tight spaces.

Affordable and Durable
The more that I use Gearwrench tools, the more that I've come to appreciate the design, build quality and affordable price. Just attach any one of these drive bit sockets to a ratchet or power driver (not an impact driver!) and you have more torque and control available than with just a screwdriver. Each drive bit is manufactured from S2, heat-treated tool steel and is press fit into the heat-treated, chrome plated socket base for maximum retention and strength. The stamped markings and the knurled line around each allows me to quickly select and easily identify the size I want. The socket slide rail is sturdy also and keeps the bits from scattering in my tool bag. Lastly, this tool set is made in Taiwan and should a manufacturing defect arise, KD Tools backs them with a lifetime warranty.

Nice selection of bits
GEARWRENCH Screwdriver Bit Socket Set (7-Piece) The sockets have serration depths as deep as the fastener and large hard-stamped identification. The set includes: 4 mm slotted screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive 5 mm slotted screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive 6 mm slotted screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive #1 Phillips screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive #2 Phillips screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive #3 Phillips screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive #2 Pozidriv screwdriver bit socket 3/8 in. drive This is a great addition to my tool set. I can now get at those screws that are impossible to get to with a standard screwdriver or you have to have a stubby screwdriver that is the right size to work. Also included is a socket rail holder that will keep them together in your toolbox. You will not be disappointed in this set.
