Product Details

GEARWRENCH mechanics tools have all been designed with the professional user in mind to increase productivity, access, and strength. The sockets, ratchets, and drive tool accessories are made from premium alloy steel and feature a full polish chrome finish that resists rust and corrosion. Large, hard-stamped markings allow for easy identification and can be easily recognized as SAE (double line) or metric (knurled line). Additionally, the off-corner loading design puts force on the flats of fasteners for improved durability and reduced fastener rounding. They are a must have for every tool box.
  • 72-tooth ratcheting box end needs a minimal 5° to move fasteners vs. 30° for standard wrenches
  • Off-corner loading design on box end provides better grip and reduces fastener rounding
  • Thin head and beam provide greater access in confined work areas
  • Size conveniently stamped on both ends of the beam for quick identification
  • Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion

Even tho im overall happy i have an issue
Fits great quality seems very good But it has manufacturing defect 1/4 shallow 6-point 9mm is missing and on its place i have 5mm socket that is doubling. The hole in the foam is also meant for 5mm there for i think its not just simply misplaced

              Disappointing
For the price, I was expecting alot more. They feel a little cheap and weren’t QC’d very well (see pic). These are replacing an old Stanley set and TBH, the quality of the less expensive Stanley tools is FAR superior to this. I’m keeping them because the EVA organization (which IS nice) and I’m sure they will work, but I won’t be buying Gearwrench again anytime soon. There are definitely nicer tools out there for the money.

                Quality is disappointing
Cannot even close fully leaving a gap. I thought paying more would hopefully equal better quality but apparently not.

                  Nice tray set!
Nice GearWrench plier and screwdriver set! Can be used in the professional setting or in your garage workshop! I absolutely love this tray, which fits nicely in a tool cabinet and helps to keep everything organized. They are clearly marked as well. The tools are extremely comfortable and I have not noticed any fatigue while using them. Highly recommend this set!

Perfect Tool Set for any Homeowner
The Gearwrench pliers and screwdrivers tool set is perfect for any homeowner. If you add a hammer, you would be set with the basic tools needed for a homeowner. The screwdrivers have good grips that are easy to hold and the pliers have nice coated handles for an easy grip. Also, the standard sized(SAE & metric) allen wrenches/hex keys are included. A magnetic bit driver with 30 bits including Torx, hex, slotted and Phillips is in the tool set. The tools can be kept in the box that it came in if you don't have a workshop or toolchest/tooldrawer available. Made in Taiwan.

                  Nice set.
My review of the GEARWRENCH Pliers and Screwdrivers Tool Set in EVA Tray (66-Piece). This set contains, screwdrivers , bit set ,,pliers Allen keys. The pliers are nice personally I wish the diagonal cutters and the needle nose were the 8inch they are only 6 inch. The pliers are all bit to be multi functional. They do more than one job. That is a plus. The new screwdriver handle design is comfortable and the incorporate at hex for use with a wrench for extra leverage. Overall a good set. I don't think I would have picked all these tools if I bought them individually. But the set itself has great value

                  lots of choice tools!
I got this set of tools to compliment my other Gearwrench tools! I love the EVA Foam tray for storage it really makes the set complete. I really like the large screw drivers having a hex collar to allow the use of a wrench to add torque to break a screw loose or add that final bit to seat a fastener. I thought the two side cutter plier sets were the same upon first look, but they are not. You can see in the photo of them that one is narrower in width and the other is a larger overall plier/side cutter. The screwdriver with interchangeable bits has a basic set of bits, nothing special or too unique. But the driver will take any 1/4" driver bit of your choice for those specialty needs.

                  Great set with drawer insert.
This set comes in a custom cut took box drawer insert. There are four blade screwdrivers, four Phillips screwdrivers, a bit driver with thirty bits, SAE and metric hex keys and and four different pair of pliers. The screwdrivers are small to large sizes in both Phillips and blade type. The pliers are lineman type, needle nose and wire snips. This is a pretty complete set.

                  Getting a grip
This Gearwrench set comes in a toolbox ready EVA foam measuring 20.25” wide, 14.5” deep and 1.25” thick. While most of the tool cutouts are labeled, it is numerical only. Speaking of numbers, the tool count makes the set sound much larger than it really is. It consists of 5-Phillips, 4-slotted, a bit driver, 1-lineman pliers, 1-combo pliers, a diagonal cutter, a long nose plier, metric hex keys, SAE hex keys and a container of 30 bits. The driver set features three-sided lobe handle with molded on rubber grip. The front of the handle has a soft grip ring which is handy for either fine control or quick rotation of the driver. The back of the handle indicates whether it a slot or Phillips’s driver but without size info. However, the model, blade size and shaft length are etched on the shaft. All 6” and most of the 4” drivers have hex bolster which allow for using a wrench for extra leverage. All drivers have black oxide tips for better fastener grip. All the slot and Phillip drivers have a magnetic tip, which is a nice touch. The bit driver is also magnetic making removal much easier than with spring loaded drivers. The bit carrying case with a count of 30 has a useful assortment with size stamped on each one. The pliers have rigid smooth handles without finger guards. I find the handle are too slick and prefer Gearwrench two tone handles. The included needle nose #82176 is identical to the 82176C with the latter having a better grip and slightly longer handle. The two 8” pliers consist of a lineman’s and combination pliers. The combo adds pipe and fastener grips, a shorter square tip and a crimper behind the pivot point. The lineman’s has the bigger square gripping area, slightly longer cutter, and a grip behind the pivot point. All the pliers feature icons on the tip of the handle to help picking the correct tool from a pouch. The hex sets have an interesting holder that unfolds, making it easier to remove and replace each hex otherwise not as useful as a set with a ball end hex. I like Gearwrench tools, but I find this pro-set a bit disappointing. Instead of the slick plier handles they should have used the gripper ones with finger guards. The drivers need size markings on the butt of the handle and not on the shaft. In use the tools work well and are no different than the ones with the upgraded handles. Gearwrench should have taken this set up a notch.
