A:  No it will not. You would want a cartridge to specifically fit that Ful Flo housing. You may want to consider the model RF4B that Home Depot offers.

A:  10 Micron. All the home heating oil filters I have dealt with have been 10 microns other than some commercial units that are less fine at 20 microns. I am not aware of any with a finer micron level. In some situations, I have known some oil pros to double filter. They install one on the tank and a second at the burner. The question I would be asking is why is there contaminant in the oil? In my experience there are three possible causes. First you got a contaminated delivery. This is unlikely with traditional home heating oil because it usually comes from the same regional distribution terminal regardless of the seller. Those terminals go to great care in testing and filtering to make sure contaminants stay out of their system. Bio fuels are another case all together which is why I stay away from them. Bio fuel can be very aggressive depending on who made it and how it was processed. Second the inside of the tank is starting to break down and you have a layer of containment resting at the bottom that gets stirred up every time you get a delivery. If so, the tank may be through its usable life and should be replaced. Given that most homeowners insurance policies do not cover tank failure and the resulting release of hazardous waste, I take this very seriously. Replacing a tank may cost a few thousand dollars but a tank failure can cause you your home. And keep in mind you don’t want to transfer contaminated fuel into a new tank. The contamination will promote corrosion. Tanks located outside and or kept half-filled have a much shorter life due to the buildup of water that condenses inside the tank. Third is a combination of a bad fuel and a failed tank. The clogged nozzles are telling you that you have a problem with your fuel system. I would suggest finding and correcting the source problem not just the system.

A:  Yes this cartridge is one of the many that will fit into the 1A-25 housing and is the most common. Now you may then ask why would then make more than one cartridge. Because that filter housing is used in all sorts of applications and with different grades of fuel. So lets say you were heating with a bio fuel. Meaning a blend of both number two oil and reprocessed cooking oil. The cooking oil is very aggressive due to bacteria that feeds on the cooking oil. As a result sellers of bio fuel often used a cartridge specifically designed for it/
