A: Any drill extender will work (such as DeWalt's short extender, Model # DW2046B); however, the longer the extender the greater the chance of movement and slippage out of the extender. For maximum control and torque, I would suggest having the bit directly in the tool for the majority of the work. In special cases where it is difficult to reach the fastener, I have probably used every kind of extender over the years.

A: I do not recommend using these with a bit extender instead use a short 1 inch T25 Torx driver on your drill bit extender.

A: No. The T25 bits were too big to fit standard T25 screws. I don't think this is a matter of GRK intentionally using a different standard, I think their manufacturing tolerance was off.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, as long as you have the bit firmly and completely seated in the head of the fastener. I have had no issues using them with my impact driver. The card they come on also states for use with impact driver.

I used this bit to drive several 1/2" screws and it worked well. Having the 2" bit great because most of my T-25 bits require a bit holder, but this is long enough that I can can insert it right into the chuck. Allowing me to use this anytime, sometimes I do not have a bit holder on me and I am unable to do anything unless I run back to grab one.

They are made by Illinois Tool Works Inc. but they are actually made in Taiwan. They are quite heavy for their size so I hope that means they are made from a good steel. They are also quite expensive because you normally get them for free when you buy screws. I think they are better made
They are designed to be used with “Backer-On” and “Rock-On” screws which I have never used before. I’ll have to look out for them and try them out. I tried the star bit with another type of star screw and the screw stuck on the bit really well and it drove it well also.

I regularly use Deckmate screws and they require this "T-25" bit. These are well made and fit the Deckmate screw perfectly, in fact, just snug enough to hold the screw allowing for single hand operation of the drill. These bits fit my standard, run-of-the-mill, 3/8 chuck drill. They seem hardened enough to withstand many uses. It's always handy to have multiple T-25 bits, especially since I use them all the time.
