is a converter needed to operate the Galanz Converter toaster oven

Not sure why a converter might be needed...I just plugged it into the wall and it worked beautifully
which is shelf #1? it says place the pizza on shelf 1 but there is nothing in the instructions that tell you which level is level 1...thanks
I use the wire rack at the lowest level for pizza. Works fine for me.

There was a piece (a little peg or screw) in the back of the toaster oven, that fell out into the oven when I unpacked it. Now there is a whole in the back of the oven. Is this normal, or should that piece be in place in the back of the oven? If anyone can provide me with an answer, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
