Product Details

Grow peas in a smaller space by using a Pea Fence. Not only does the Pea Fence save space, but it also makes harvesting easier and minimizes stem breakage. It's versatile, too, and can be used with other crops. Its strong, hinged frame can be folded into a square and used to support tomato, pepper or other vegetable vines. At the end of the season, just fold up the Pea Fence and put it away until spring.

Q:Is it strong enough to support cucumber and squash plants?

A:  This fence may also be used for other vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumbers, later in the gardening season. Many gardeners use it to confine plants that like to spread. The fence folds easily for storage and is sturdy enough to use again and again.

    A:  The vertical wires that go into the ground on the Pea Fence is made from .143 (9.5 gauge) galvanized wire and the horizontal rungs are made from .135 (10 gauge) galvanized wire.

      Q:Can this be unhooked to create a square cage? I am considering this to use for peas in the spring/summer/early fall, then to re-use as tree sapling protectors during deer season. Picture looks like they could be disassembled and rotated. Yes/No?

Its sturdy, hinged frame allows you to plant rows closer together, saving space and making the harvest easier--plus it helps prevent stem breakage. Hinged sections of galvanized steel grids unfold to 32" high and 8' long. Fold it into a square to use with tomatoes and bell peppers, or try it with other veggies that feature vines.         The fences are not 8' long. They are 80" long.. I would have liked having the other 16".
