    Q:How are the two sections joined? And...the instructions say to cut the rods to the desired length but the manufacturer has answered one of the previous questions saying that they don't recommend cutting it because that would invalidate the warranty. Huh?

        A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, Rod is not adjustable. The overall length of the rod is 60” when the two rods are jointed together.

          Disappointed in the description
          I am highly disappointed that this is not a solid 60 inch rod but rather two 30 inch rods. Step 5 in the instructions is the only indication that this product arrives in two halves and not a solid 60 inch rod. Bad, Bad, Bad, on you for marketing this item under false pretenses.

            this is a two piece rod.
            If you are looking for a 60” rod as the description indicates, this is NOT. Unfortunately I do not have the time to return and wait for a new order to come in.

              Installation Guide for Wrong Product
              I bought this product based on the ease of installation as described in the Installation Guide link from this Home Depot product page. But those instructions are not for the product I received. The instructions say there is a flange, that goes between the wall mount and the rod, so that the rod cut doesn’t have to be exact. The product I received matches the pictures on the product page, but it’s not the product in the instructions.

                NOT A 60” Straight Bar
                I wanted a 60” chromed brass curtain rod for a custom shower we built. Home Depot website does not indicate this is a 2 piece rod. Returning this to get a Jaclo product. Let down again. This nonsense is why I avoid big box stores.

                  We used this for our outside shower. It fit perfectly...
                  We used this for our outside shower. It fit perfectly and matched our other fixtures. There were very few modern fixed size bars available. This is of good quality.
