All Geeni cameras has an automatic night vision feature and it will be automatically activated when the location of the camera is too dark and the video feed on your app will turn black and white and automatically deactivates when there's a sufficient light and the video feed on your Geeni app will turn back to its regular color. You can actually choose between low, medium and high when it comes to the motion sensitivity in the Geeni application. We can definitely guide you how. Hi Noemi! Installing a Micro SD card will further enable video recording and playback from your phone. When the card is installed, the camera will continuously record and playback video to your phone until the card is full. Video is encrypted and only viewable through the Geeni app on your phone, so do not try removing the Micro SD card to view the video. The camera recording depends on the video quality, the camera will use around 1GB of storage per day, so a 32GB card can provide weeks of continuous video. As the card fills up, the oldest footage will automatically be replaced by a new video, so you don’t have to ever worry about running out of storage space. There are some things I like about this camera, and some things I'm not crazy about. First the good. It comes with everything you need to set it up, but an SD card. You even get a peel and stick pad for mounting it to a wall. Not a fan of that, as it seems to permanent to me. What do you do if you want to move it? The app is user friendly. Camera set up and connection to wifi was very easy. Video quality is quite good in bright light. Night vision is OK. A little grainy, but that's to be expected to a degree. You can select SD and HD resolution in the app. 2 way audio works pretty well. A little tinny, but that is also expected. You can set sensitivity to motion to low, medium, or high, and sound to low or high. When you open the app on your phone, it gives you the current city temperature. Not a necessity, but a nice feature. You can share video with other family or friends in the app. The LED can be turned off or left on. You can rename the camera to whatever you like. Firmware update is available in the app. You can resize the video window in the app, and even zoom with a finger tap or pinch. Most user tools are on one screen and usage is easy for most things. Now for the things I do not like. I test recorded some videos with a tap of the "Record" button, but when I push the "Playback button on the same screen, I receive a "No video records today". Now this was with no SD card, but I thought video would be saved to my phone, but I couldn't access it thru the app. I went to "Gallery" on my phone and found the videos there. From there, you can tap the video and play it. Just seems odd to me that it would not be available to watch in the Geeni app. The description on the Home Depot Seeds page did not clearly state if cloud storage was available. I found out that it's not. You can only record on an SD card or directly on your phone. Now for recording to your phone to work, you have to be looking at the video at the time you want to record it (with a simple touch of "Record") to your phone, and then stop the recording when you want it to stop. Obviously not automated, and not real helpful if you're in a business meeting and can't pull your phone out to review the alarm (that you've probably silenced for the meeting anyway). Once you miss the video, you're out of luck, unless saved to an SD card. No second chance to review. Now sure, you can use an SD card, but that seems a waste of time and money when the camera with the card will most likely be stolen by the home invaders. That SD card is pretty worthless at that point. Why no cloud storage option? That is a deal breaker for me. While you can select the motion sensitivity, you have no options to select motion detection zones, so you deactivate motion detection let's say close to the ground, where the cat will be traveling. This would save you quite a few false alarms. Overall a good camera, with noticeable shortcomings, but do keep in mind, it's price is good for what you do get. But, again, no cloud storage???

Without a Micro SD card (optional, sold separately), the smart Wi-Fi camera can show live camera video, save screenshots or videos of the camera stream to your phone for later, and record still snapshots of motion alerts when notifications are turned on. For cloud storage, a similar request has been raised to our developers, and we're hoping to have this option be added in the future updates. The cameras and app were very easy to set up and link into my home wi-fi. The cameras connected to the app right away. The app gives plenty of features while still being simple to use. Its simple to add or switch cameras, take pics or record video, etc. I use this through my phone and the picture/video is excellent. The cameras switch automatically to night-vision when there is not enough light - then the picture is in B/W instead of color. You can set the cameras to be motion activated, and not only can you hear the audio, but you can send audio - speak into your phone to speak through the cameras. All the pics or vids can be saved to your phone or tablet, but the cameras have a slot for an optional SD card (not included). The package comes with 2 cameras, 2 cords and plugs, instructions, and 2 stickers for mounting the cameras to walls or ceiling. So you can mount the cameras upside down and then, using the app, have the image flipped right-side-up. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the cameras don't have any battery. They have to be plugged in and so not too far from an outlet. All of the pics on the box show the cameras without the cord, which is a little misleading. Also, the app only allows you to enter a password for the wi-fi network. That works fine for a home, but you wouldn't be able to use them at someplace like an office where there is a shared network that requires a username in addition to a password.

We're sorry but all Geeni devices are not rechargeable or battery-operated, It doesn't have a built in battery they're all powered by electricity that's why they have to be plugged in to function. If your trying to set up the camera to a public WiFi, it is not compatible as it requires you to connect to a 2.4 Ghz and the router encryption should be set to WPA2-PSK. Great way to monitor inside your home when your away or even if your in the house and in another room/area. This Geeni Look WiFi security camera came with two cameras. Each are about 2' wide, 2'depth and 4.5' high and are made of plastic/rubbery material. You can mount anywhere with included tape and adjust the neck to get your best view. No hub needed just download the app, plug in and connect. Setup was very easy. Cords are short (approx 3 ft) on each camera so kind of difficult to place close to an outlet. I guess you could use an extension cord if you choose. I have one in our laundry room which points to the entrance door. The other is at the window facing the front entrance. Both give great views on iPhone in and away from the house during daytime. The one in the laundry does great during nighttime too but the one that faces out the window does not get any view except the glare from the refection on the window. Since they are not made for outdoors they work best for indoor viewing or just for daytime outdoor viewing. The app is easy to use. Go to your "devices" which you name whatever you like, "scenes" that you can purchase smart/light bulbs separately that you can control when they go on and off. You can share the devices with whoever you choose. There are basic feature settings, indicator light, flip, and time watermark. You can set for sound detection which will alert you. You can set for motion detection which will alert you. You can also put in a sd card for recording. You can also communicate back and forth, take a screenshot and if you have the sd card installed playback. I tried the sound and motion detection but it got annoying while at home with all the alerts, so I would only use this while away. I have not tried the sd card recording. I had no problems viewing while away even without being on WiFi, just my phone service. Picture quality is really good, better then I expected and they have a 120 degree view. They are great and would love to add more to my home!

Decided to install these 2 cameras on a corner of the house where my other cameras do not cover. Have had a 16-channel hard wired set by another manufacturer for about 10 years with great success and adding these was so simple I could hardly believe after all of the hours of labor and setup I experienced with the other which has a dvr that connects to my router by cable and have cables running all through my attic, soffits, and eaves. These new wireless cameras are a real treat to install and get up and going. The picture quality is exceptional as well. In just a matter of moments I was able to view them on my iphone. The reason I am giving 4 stars is due to one of them has already lost night vision after only a week of use. Hope it comes back because I really do like these little cameras. I realize they are not meant for outdoors but they are under an eave where I had placed a receptacle when I built it to maybe run extra lighting or something so it worked out perfectly in this application. They are upside down and do not allow me to adjust the picture more than 90 degrees on my screen but with my phone I can turn it around without an issue. Nice little cameras with great definition and the wifi seems to be holding nicely as well; even shows percentage of wifi signal they are receiving. Stucco is notorious for causing wifi signals to be diminished and I am still holding around 70% signal. Thanks.

I needed to buy a 2-pack because I wanted a camera to cover both entrances to my home. I put in a 32gb memory card I had lying around so that it can record 24/7. It takes up about 1gb of space a day, so this card will last over a month before it starts to over-write the saved video, starting with the oldest video info first. If you have enough room on your phone, you could record the live video feeds directly to your phone. What I love most about this camera is the fact that when it detects movement, it sends a notification immediately to my phone, WITH a screenshot of what caused the movement. When I first installed it, it snapped a picture of every car that went by and sent a notification to my phone. There is a sensitivity adjustment that I changed so it is not so sensitive. Since delivery packages of mine have been stolen in the past, this gives me the peace of mind that everything is being recorded and that I will get notification of any movement, in real time, sent to my phone. If my house is being robbed, for example, I can call the police and the robbers won’t even know I called them. Another added benefit is the 2-way talk feature. I can press a button in the app to talk to a person while I am at work 50-miles away from home and the person on the other end at my home hears me loud and clear. When they speak, I can hear them well as well. These cameras are corded, so I use extension cords. If I lose power, I will know because the feed will be dead. If I see that power is down for more than 4 hours, I’ll know to go home and turn on the generator. Having this camera installed really gives me peace of mind and is very easy to use. Just open the app and select the camera to view. Installing multiple cameras is a cinch, since the network password is still saved from the first camera you installed. Each camera didn’t take more than 2 minutes to setup. Each camera has its own feed, has crystal clear live video feeds, and each feed is encrypted for security.

Simple functionality, friendly interface and intuitive setup makes this little package very attractive, especially at this price point. Having said that I do wish they came in white, had a much longer power cable and were compatible with my Blue Iris software but I guess it's not possible to be everything to everybody. I tested the ability to log on from near and far without any problems whatsoever. Until I decide exactly where to place these, I temporarily set one up looking out a window since I was expecting an appliance delivery that day (see photo). Picture quality is excellent but before you think this is a really good idea you should know that once the sun sets and the night vision IR lights come on, the reflections in the window glass totally obliterate the view so keep that in mind.

I got these security cameras because I thought they were cool and for the money they were beating the competition. But when something is to good to be true, it usually is. I install the software. But it took me 2 days to install the cameras. Once the cameras were installed they never went online. I always got a failed to connect message even after they had already installed. So I'm not actually sure how they installed. The signal was null, and all settings were greyed out. I couldn't do anything. The camera light is blue that shows that it's connected but it's not. Nothing works. I'm a tech guy and I can't get this to work for me. It's crazy. All I wanted to do was keep an eye on my dogs when I'm not home. I don't think the instructions I got were for this model device.

When you're getting an error message saying device offline it means the WiFi signal is weak, the connection was interrupted and the router not online. The more devices connect wired and wireless to your network, the higher chance of having an intermittent or slow to no internet connection.
