It probably will work but the sell actual "bug Removal" solvent in auto parts stores. But, Gel-Gloss is the best for cleaning, polishining and protecting ceramic tile, bath tubs and fiberglass showers

I would not try using it on glass/mirrors. It's like a waxy substance that buffs to a nice shine on opaque surfaces, but I'd worry if you used it on glass you'd have horrible streaks and it'd be hard to remove in the future.
