It's exactly what I was looking for.
This lamp is a pretty close replica of the mid century ones that cost quite a bit more money. The 8 inch size is perfect for my small kitchen area. It adds a great vintage touch without being too over the top or saying too much. Gives off a nice light. I have mine attached to a dimmer. I will say that the glass is thin and fragile so be careful, but once it's hung and out of any harms way it doesn't really matter. Great lamp for the price.
