Straight crosscuts, miter cuts, bevel cuts and compound cuts are a breeze, whether you are cutting flooring, molding, a woodworking project or you just need to cut dimensional lumber down to size. A heavy duty 15 Amp motor drives the blade at 4600 RPM for fast, smooth cutting. Laser light cutting guide allows for quicker set up and improved accuracy and a spindle lock makes for quick blade changes. Updated saw has improved components, with increased stability in legs and tool platform, with easily adjustable knobs.

Safety switch broken
After minimal use over the course of 18 months, the safety switch/trigger became stuck in the on position. Now there is no way to stop the saw if plugged in. Not good. Will be seeking refund/repair under warranty.

Crude Movements
I've only had this saw for one day and only used it for one project with several cuts. The saw has enough power to make smooth cuts and does a good job at cutting miters. The only reason I give it four stars instead of three is because it makes accurate miter cuts. The movement for changing angles is not very smooth and kind of crude. The safety switch is cumbersome if you have to use the saw with your left hand. The laser was fairly easy to get adjusted but the line of the laser is thick, when you turn the laser on it's on until you turn it off and when you start moving the saw to make a cut the laser is blocked and nonexistent. I have a blade mounted laser on my other miter saw that starts when the blade spins and shuts off when the blade stops, this type of laser is easier to setup, it throws a narrower beam and it shines on the whole board while you're cutting which I will most likely put on this saw and ignore the factory laser. The adjustable fence extensions are a total joke nothing else to say about them. I'm accustom to a $500 dollar sliding Makita miter saw but this saw is for our winter home so it satisfies that need. I just don't want to invest in another high dollar miter saw for a winter home.
