Q:My Genie 1035 is about 10-15 yrs old, Just bought this house and have no remotes. I have tried programming our vehicles to the opener and a Universal remote. Nothing works.

We bought genie 1035 1/2 garage door opener, the code didn't work, neither the genie "technician " could figure out.

My mother is 74 yrs old and she paid almost 200 dollars for a genie 1035 garage door opener and no one was here to tell her she brought the wrong size until I hired a handyman and now genie is refusing to give her money back at least if not all the something she’s on a fixed income and barely scrapes by to pay other bills it’s a shame how society treats the elderly I will never allow her to purchase anything from genie ever again now that I have power of attorney over her finances

very happy with it overall, but they need to improve the manuals. Example is they tell you to only use their pushbutton...others may damage the unit. The instructions show what you need, but what is included is a different style. So do I use it or not?

Absolute Garbage
Bought this during a sale and got a great price. Installation was easy but the opener never worked properly. Genie sent a replacement circuit board due to a defect they knew about except even w the new board in the door opens but doesn’t close. I ended up eating my money.
