This kit is designed for the Genie exposed chain garage door openers. This kit comes with everything needed to convert your standard 7 ft. Genie garage door opener to fully lift your 8 ft. high garage door. Kit contents; new longer garage door opener chain and snap together rail extension.

AnswersHi RickG, If your door is 9ft in height, you would need a Genie Professional style garage door opener. You cannot combine multiple extension kits. The units that this extension kit works on are for doors, no higher than 8ft.
