GHOSTSHIELD LITHI-TEK 4500: All-in-one primer, densifier and hardener - the first layer of concrete fortification. CONCRETE: 50% STRONGER: Super strength - unparalleled durability and toughness provided by freak science - where most superhero stories start. Let, it's the most advanced, lithium-based concrete densifier available, resulting in better abrasion resistance and crack prevention than sodium-based alternatives. PENETRATES DEEP & REDUCES DUSTING: Easily applied with a sprayer, roller or brush, the 4500 can be used on a variety of poured concrete substrates. Can be used indoors and outdoors but a sealer is recommended to be used in conjunction if concrete will not be polished. A popular choice to prime and harden new and old concrete. DRIES INVISIBLE: Use stand-alone, as a primer for polishing, or as a primer for other Ghostshield sealers to increase adhesion. Provides a flat, natural finish. Dries within a few hours of application and requires only a single treatment.
  • 100% reactive- Densifies concrete surfaces into a solid mass by penetrating the concrete and chemically filing the pores from within reacting with the calcium hydroxide becoming an integral part of the concrete
  • Increases abrasion resistance by up to 50% - Tightly binds together concrete reducing concrete dusting. Provides ease of maintenance to provide long-lasting protection on substrates subject to traffic
  • Small molecular structure - Allows for deeper penetration and increased performance
  • Combats ASR attacks - Resists alkali-silica reaction
  • One-time permanent application eliminating the need for re-application
  • Increased performance of topcoat sealers when used as a densifying primer
  • Does not alter surface appearance - The treated surface is natural, tack-free and slip-resistant
  • Resists efflorescence
  • 100% Breathable - Allows moisture to escape without damaging the sealer
  • Water-based - Proprietary, environmentally friendly formula with no odor, no VOC's
  • Excellent penetration depth into any concrete substrate
  • Improves durability - Increases impact resistance
  • Super UV stable - Resistant to ultra-violent radiation, will not yellow or fade
  • Makes up to 2 Gallons: If priming concrete mix 1 gallon sealer to 1 gallon water. If using prior to polishing concrete no mixing is required.

Q:Does Lithi-Tek 4500 make the concrete more difficult to drill.
by|Nov 17, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for showing an interest in Ghostshield products. Lithi-Tek 4500 is a densifier and will increase the mass of a concrete slab - making it slightly more difficult to drill. However, the most significant changes to the concrete occur near the surface.

Q:Do I need to let the product dry before polishing? If so how long do I let it dry?
    by|Nov 2, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for showing an interest in Ghostshield products. Yes, we recommend letting it dry. However, like most densifiers, the longer you leave them, the better they work. Additionally, there is no one-size-fits-all scenario. Expected dry time can vary depending upon temperature and humidity. Most surfaces should be dry and walkable and ready for next stage of polishing in 1-2 hours.

Q:After using Lith-Tek 4500 primer, how long should I allow to cure at 65 deg (interior) before applying Siloxa-Tek 8505? Do I need to prep surface after Litho-Tek cures before applying Siloxa-Tek? Thanks
      by|Oct 23, 2023
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for choosing Ghostshield products. Lithi-Tek 4500 creates crystalline structures in the concrete after application. This process can take up to 7 days. We suggest waiting 5-7 days before applying Siloxa-Tek 8505. Be sure surface is clean and dry before applying.

Q:If I grout the score lines on my interior concrete floor with a urethane grout like Bostik Trucolor, will Litho-Tek 4500 primer and 8505 sealer be compatible with this grout when I seal my floors?
        by|Oct 10, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for showing an interest in Ghostshield. We've never tested our products on Bostik Trucolor. However, we would suggest treating the floor with Lithi-Tek 4500 prior to using the urethane grout. Seal using Siloxa-Tek 8505 after using the grout. We also suggest testing for color / capability in inconspicuous area prior to treating the whole floor.

          Beware Bait 'n Switch
Beware that this "concentrate" gallon USED TO make 4 gallons for priming. Has now been cut in half for the same price. (See photo) - There's no reason to waste money on this densifier when other Ghostshield products (with densifier) still maintain the "claim-to-fame" 1:4 ratios. Caveat emptor, wasted $$$ now that my driveway is only half-covered.

            First test, epic failure
I applied both the 8510 and the 4500, per Ghost Shield’s recommendation to prevent oil stains if dripped from a parked car or truck. The first contractor truck that had a little drip was on my concrete today and the results are not even close to worth the money I spent. The spots were discovered and cleaned within hours of happening and it’s as if there was nothing ever put on the concrete. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

I would highly recommend this product. It was easy to apply. Be very careful not to over apply product due to it will leave a white residue. This happened to me on my driveway. But I am still pleased with the product and know it will seal my concrete for a long time.

              Ghostshield
The Ghostshield concentrated was very easy to apply. However, I did not clean up the excess in time and this caused some white residue on my driveway. However, I am pleased with this product. I am confident that it will seal my concrete for years.

                  Use with 9500
I wanted to get the absolute best results so I contacted Ghostshield and told them my situation. They recommended 4500 followed by the 8500 for my badly worn 98 year old concrete. I had already purchased the 9500 and had it laying around and they said it would work as a substitute for the 8500. After cleaning, acid etching, and neutralizing and letting the concrete dry I applied the 4500. Apply it thinly or it may show white residue. The residue can be scrubbed off. I let the 4500 cure for 7 days then I applied the 9500--2 coats. I had significant efflorescence, dusting, etc prior to sealing with this two coat process. I can tell you the efflorescence has been reduced significantly and water beads right off. Hope this helps someone trying to find their way in the crowded world of concrete sealers.

                    I used this product last year to treat a 26' X 12' X 6" (thick), 4000 psi concrete patio.
Now I want to use an epoxy topcoat. Will the epoxy coating adhere to the Lithi-Tek 4500 treated concrete or will I have to have it ground off?

Didn’t cover as much as expected
My cement is new. One month old and was absorbing more product than expected. Other than that it went on smoothly
