The Gibraltar 4 in. Plastic Roof Cap Vent is constructed from durable UV resistant plastic. Roof Caps are designed for 4 in. exhaust pipes terminating through the roof. The removable stem is a feature that makes for easy installation. The hooded cap design prevents rain and debris from entering, while an integrated backflow damper keeps the air flowing in the proper direction.

These Vents are problematic:
1) With leakage due to wind driven rains inherent to the Northwest.
2) Leaves lint on roof if used as dryer which is never recommended but sometimes forced. Clogs easily with lint leaving flapper open all the time.
There is a better product out there that has a higher profile and not as prone to flapper being lifted by high winds allowing rain to enter. The good news is these things keep me busy repairing ceilings.
