Hi Divella, we have not heard of other customers experiencing this.
Hello Emily, I am sorry to hear about your experience with Gila Window Films. To remove the adhesive we recommend ventilating the space and spraying the adhesive with ammonia or an ammonia based degreaser. I recommend putting down a towel or something to prevent liquid from resting on the floor and spraying the adhesive with a good amount of solution. The most important part is that the solution be given time to be absorbed by the adhesive. Once this happens it is much easier to remove using a window scrapper or a large razor blade scrapper. Please be careful if you use a razor blade to remove the adhesive. If you run into any problems during the removal process please reach out to gila@eastman.com
Hello Noreen, Yes this film is adhesive backed so it can be installed outside but will not last nearly as long as if it were to be installed inside your home. This film is safe to install on dual pane or single pane glass.
Hello Trak, We recommend installing the film in a comfortable temperature. Installing below 40 degrees can cause issues with the curing of the adhesive and installing above 80 degrees is not recommended. Installing film on a hot day is ok if the glass has been in the shade for some time. On a hot day in direct sunlight the glass surface can be much hotter so this is what you want to avoid.
Hello Mario, This film does not peel off as it has an adhesive backing on the film. We do sell a 3'x6.5' PVC film which works as a static cling type product without adhesives.
Hi Suse, as long as the surface is made of flat glass it will adhere to the surface. This product has an adhesive backing.
Hi Nana, we do not recommend our products for plexiglass. The reason being is that the plexiglass can warp and shift which can cause the adhesives to fail and unmount. Although our films will stick to plexiglass for a short period of time we do not cover this application under our limited warranty.
