This drain is easy to install. I have another one like this but with the pop up drain plug which I like much better. This one drains too slow. I modified it by making the holes a bit bigger which allowed the water to drain better.

Easy install and good build quality, but the holes in this drain did not allow my sink to drain. If I turned on the water at full flow the sink would immediately start filling (indicating it is starting by slow passage through the top of the drain, not waiting for it to fill and be blocked below). If I let the sink get 1/2 full and turned off the water the sink would only drain half the time, the other half it would sit and not drain at all due to the hole size on the strainer being too small. I really did not believe it at first, but if I ran my fingers across the holes, the water would start to drain a little and you would see some bubbles come up and through. See the photo for what I mean about where it would stop. Swapped it for a standard drain and it flowed perfectly. It must have to do with the fact the that P trap allows some pressure to build up inside the drain (before pushing the water out of the way) and the pressure must be great enough to hold that water up when the hole is small. If you don't have a P-trap this would likely work perfectly and it may work with different water softness, or something like that, but I would avoid this as it did not perform its basic function for me.

Works great. Didn’t want a drain with a plug. This model works better then the one with small round holes.
