The outer edge of the strainer keeps tarnishing I've scrubbed it 3 times to remove the tarnish but it keeps returning I've never seen stainless steel do this

You push it in the center to create the seal and pull up when you want to release water. It’s a very good quality basket for a great price. It does not include the sink strainer housing, this is just the basket. Made in China

This is a really nice and well made. I love it and it is a great product. I placed it in the sink and it filled the sink without any leaks. It is easy to pull and release and also very easy to take out the sink. You would love it cause it has a great color and it’s not cheaply made. The strainer on it is good and it traps the food well so you don’t have to worry about the food going down and clogging your drains

New strainer really dresses up our old sink. The water tight seal is easy to set and water in the sink doesn't trickle down the drain. To set the seal, the handle is easily twisted to align the teeth of the knob with the slots of the basket. Then, lift the handle and twist to unseal and open the basket. If the knob is up, drain is open. If the know is down, the drain is closed.

My old strainer was the type that fit into a slot and turned 90 degrees to open and close. Problem was, it was hard to keep open. This new strainer stays open and closed. To open the strainer, just pull up and turn 90 degrees, it will stay open. I also like strainer is made of stainless steel. I feel it was good to replace old strainer that was in bad condition with this new strainer that looks and works much better.

My review of the Glacier Bay sink strainer. Just one of those little things you never think of replacing that can make such a big difference. So shiny and a great fit will fit any standard sink. Stops up the sink nicely too for soaking just hit it a second time with a push and it does the job. Lightweight and a simple replacement you just don't think of!

Overall really about what you would expect from a sink strainer. It has a nice chrome like finish (brighter finish than many stainless steel sinks), a rubber gasket on the bottom to help it seal in some applications, and has two height settings to help control water flow. The biggest issue I encountered is that this model is not a great fit for a garbage king brand disposal (loose fit).
