The basket is Steel, but the middle plunger is cheap feeling plastic and 1/4" too short to plug (my) drain fully, and no way to adjust the rubber seal down that extra 1/4". The lip is flat, rather than beveled or rounded, so if it doesn't go in straight, it "scrapes" sideways and you have to pull it out and align it back in straight (ie. not self aligning). When the plastic knob is pushed in to plug the sink, it is flush flat with the surrounding metal surface, making it difficult to grab with a sink full of soapy water.
It's decent for a cheap product, but for a few extra pennies, they could have made it a 5-star universal product. (A cheap adjustment on the rubber depth, a spring clip, a mild lip angle, a better shaped knob grip, and a heavier plastic center).
The glacier bay expert was careful with his wording about the "basket" being steel, but they shouldn't set the wrong expectation to buyers. Plastic/Chrome isn't that bad unless you are misled to think you are buying all stainless steel.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. We take customer feedback very seriously. We appreciate your input. This is not a Chrome product, it is stainless steel.
