I pushed the FastMount up to the sink deck & turned it clockwise until it stopped turning. When we move the spout left or right, the FastMount looses it grip and the whole faucet falls forward. Underside of the sink deck is flat & smooth. WHAT do we do?

The FastMount cannot be installed on an uneven mounting surface or in a space where the locking mechanism cannot be completely engaged so that could be the reason you had those issues with it not mounting properly. I have a three hole sink I would like this faucet, but is it necessary to have to caulk the plate to keep it tight to the sink or do you have something that you can put the plate on and not have it wobble without caulk
Thank you. This comes with an underplate that goes between the sink and the escutcheon plate. The caulk is just recommended if the sink is uneven, and the plates do not provide an adequate seal.
