Questions & Answers

Warranty terms?

Does this faucet have a manufacturer's warranty, besides the 90-day return to Home Depot? It has been over 90 days - 4 months - since buying this faucet and it already has developed a leak that can't be fixed. What should we do?
Asked by: Jupiter
Had the same experience. Replaced the sprayer which had pinhole leaks. Then the sprayer cracked at the threads. After two replacements I am replacing with an all metal faucet from Amazon at half the price.

Faucet already installed but very stiff to move side to side

The faucet was already installed when we bought the co-op. It is very stiff to move from side to side. Is there a way to adjust it to make it easier to move side to side? Any help would be appreciated.
Asked by: Dennis
This is my second one, had the same problem. Were it tightens to the bottom of the sink ( underneath ) i put a double nut. Tighten the first nut were it can rotate freely then put the second nut to lock the first nut from moving. Had a spare nut from other faucet. Good Luck. Remember you get what you pay for, I give that advice but I am not smart enough to take it?

Just installed and longest hose with weight that attaches to sprayer is leaking. Why. Thanks

I installed per the box, but when I turned on the water again, pulled up the water handle, it is leaking from the sprayer hose. Why. Btw, I also replaced my garbage disposal and it's fine. The sink was much easier. Please help, it this a faulty faucet and just take it back to Home Depot for a replacement? Martina
Asked by: Martina
Mine is leaking from the hose as well, my recommendation would be to return it and get another brand. This faucet is clearly not good quality.

After 2 or 3 years the faucet graduly gets harder to turn left and right. Not sure what all needs to be done to fix it, but when I called the number on the box they sent me parts (o ring. metal ring, and new valve). With two faucets I think I can keep it going. When the faucet is working properly it is very nice to use, and looks great.

After about 3 years the faucet turns very hard and needs to be taken apart and lubricated and may need O rings etc. This is not covered in the instructions but if you call the number on the box they will send parts. I now have two of these faucets, so I can repair one while the other is in use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Home Depot propriety brand (Glacier Bay) faucet stopped working (low to no water pressure) under ... Home Depot propriety brand (Glacier Bay) faucet stopped working (low to no water pressure) under 12 months of ownership/usage. Manager-on-duty, Russ at Sandy Springs # 154 store unprofessionally recited the 30-day return policy. A call to the corporate office (877) 527-0313 revealed that this brand has a lifetime guarantee and a store credit could possibility be issued if replacement was not desired. Glacier Bay is a Home Depot brand, which apparently has poor reviews/performance ratings. Beware of this product as you may need to contact corporate to get the lifetime guarantee honored.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK This item is garbage. I had it 6 months and it was installed by a professional and leaked under my sink and water is now spraying out of the handle. The rubber tip keeps falling off also. I have to leave it hanging out of the cradle to avoid under sink puddles. I also have to leave a note for anyone that comes in while I am gone so that don't place it in the cradle and I come home to more leaks! YIKES! It has to be replaced. I would not recommend this item EVER and I don't know why Home Depot continues to sell it. I did not save my receipt so I guess I am SOL on the cost of the item plus to have it installed. Need to buy another but relunctant on what to get? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not buy anything with the name Glacier Bay on it again. The faucet has leaked since I bought it. The pull out faucet broke off in my hand six months later. The part that broke is plastic so I'm willing to bet it can't be fixed. What a waste of my money and time. Never again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some Problems, good price Have intalled 4 of these in apt rentals + my home. No leaks yet in 2 years of use.My home unit is the oldest. The home faucet will no longer swivel, has jammed on the inside swivel stem, spray buttom pops off a lot, but pops back on easily, but annoying. Because of the jammed stem I am planning on removing the unit and returning to HomeD. Save your receipts people, HD is usually go about giving replacement units. Just a pain to have to do the work all over again.
