what is the difference between the Glacier Bay 2450E & the 2450R power flush toilets ?
ByNov 7, 2024
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

Hello John, The difference is in the length of the bowl. N2450R is a round bowl, so the distance from the seat holes to the front of the bowl is 16.5". N2450E is an elongated bowl so the opening is 2" longer; the same measurement is 18.5". Answer This Question

Hello Larry, First, check the wall valve to assure that it is fully open. The fill valve has a flow regulator in the shank to allow for even flow into the tank. Should you have further comments or need future assistance, please call Glacier Bay at 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.

My toilet is not shutting off the water how do I replace parts
            ByOct 26, 2024
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

Hello Nell, It is possible that something is caught in the fill valve, preventing it from fully closing. Occasionally scale that has built up on the inside of the wall valve breaks loose & gets caught in the fill valve. Please follow the procedure in the instruction manual for cleaning the valve or call Customer Service at 1-855-434-5224 where one of the Representatives can assist you.

Toilet looks ok, but flushes well
Love the height. coming from a 15.5" to this, it's a world of a difference for our elderly parents. The internal components in the back are very different than your traditional flapper and the trap at the side is a lot thicker, which allows more water to get flushed. I just hope the flush components don't break because it looks expensive to replace or repair. I like how the flush handle is in the front vs the side so it's easier to reach.

                  Seems to work well, however…
The flange bolts broke off the head very easily, make sure you buy a pack of these to replace them with. After looking at the break they nearly look like they are made to fail.

                    Doesn’t flush as expected!!!
I have been finding that it does not flush anything that floats in the bowl. It is taking a double or triple flush to get rid of all this. I am going to try to reseat the tank to the bowl and see if that helps.

Hello THira. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your toilet. On this model it is critical that the tank is seated properly on the bowl to assure that the vacuum system has a proper seal to maintain the flush efficiency. You can try to re-seat the tank following the steps in the Troubleshooting guide that can found in the product overview section of the product webpage, under the "Instructions / Assembly" link. Please call Glacier Bay at 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.
                      Beautiful design and performance
This toilet is very elegant looking. It is great height and elongated. The flushing is spectacular. Very strong. Installation was simple and easy. I upgraded my bathroom and wanted to replace the old toilet with a nice toilet that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. This was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Comes with everything you need to install it. The bidet does not come with it.

                      A literal upgrade
The Glacier Bay 2-Piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Extra Tall Elongated Toilet with Slow-Close Seat is very nice. Most of the time a single flush is adequate, sometimes a second is needed. Quiet. When they say extra-tall they mean extra-tall - about 5 inches taller than the old toilet. This is great for older folks or bad knees - it is so much easier to get up and down. Not so good for short people or kids, no surprise. The extra length is nice too, but it fits in the same space. Glacier Bay is a house brand of Home Depot, so you are getting good quality at a low price because you are not paying for a lot of advertising. Flawless glaze. Comes complete with a seat, bolts, and wax ring. Does not include a water hose, and you may need a longer one, figure that out before you start installation. If you've never installed a toilet before, it is easy, basic hand tools. The included wax ring was a little too short in my case because of the flooring, so I cut a ring off the old one and smushed it on top and everything was fine. Also, I couldn't get the old bolts off, so I just used them instead. Very pleased overall.

It works great the only reason for 4 stars is that its a bit weird looking
I recently purchased the Power Flush 2-Piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Extra Tall Elongated Toilet, and overall, I am very pleased with the product. It delivers on its promises and has significantly improved my bathroom experience. Here are some key points about my experience. First, the extra tall height is a game changer, especially for anyone with mobility issues or taller individuals. It offers a more comfortable seating position, which puts less strain on the knees and joints. It's also been a great upgrade for guests, who’ve commented on how comfortable it is. The elongated bowl shape adds to the overall comfort. The flush performance is powerful, as the name suggests. With just 1.28 gallons per flush, it’s water-efficient without compromising on effectiveness. It handles solid waste efficiently, and I haven't experienced any clogs or multiple flushes to clear the bowl. This toilet is also noticeably quieter than some of the older models I've had, which is a nice bonus. One of my favorite features is the slow-close seat, which is not only convenient but also prevents the loud slamming that can happen with regular toilet seats. It’s a small feature, but it makes a difference in the overall experience. The seat is also easy to remove for cleaning. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the shape of the toilet is a bit different. I don't want to say its ugly but its a bit different than other toilets we have in the house. However, once it was in place, it worked flawlessly. Overall, this toilet is a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable, efficient, and modern upgrade. I would recommend it, especially for anyone seeking an extra tall model.

                        Nice toilet with novel features
This Glacier Bay Power 1.28 GPF Single Flush Extra Tall Toilet has a couple of features that are new to me. The first is the "extra tall". I measured 19.75" from the floor to the top of the seat. For comparison, my comfort-height toilet and kitchen and dining room chairs are all 18" tall. The extra tall feels little strange and will take some getting used to. The second feature is the "power flush". This works well if I hold down the lever for a full second. It will flush with a flick of the lever but sometimes the bowl doesn't completely clear. Unlike traditional toilets that seem to mostly empty the bowl when flushed, this toilet has a powerful jet from the bottom front what just blows stuff away. This bowl has a larger 10.25 in. x 23.5 in. base to cover up any floor blemishes when the old toilet is removed. This is 3/4 inch wider and 2.5 inches longer than the old toilet. One side effect is that the base of the toilet is only 1.75" further back than the front of the bowl, compared to 4.5" with the old toilet. I found myself hitting my heel on the front of the toilet when getting up. The provided installation parts include a 1" wax ring with plastic cone and wing nuts for the floor bolts. The floor bolts and covers were sized such that the floor bolts didn't need to be cut off. Wing nuts were provided to secure the toilet and tank. Installation went smoothly with no surprises.  The slow-close seat was nice and closes more slowly than others I've used. The seat is supposed to be able to be quick-released but I couldn't figure out how to do that.

                        Extra Tall Elongated Toilet
This Glacier Bay toilet is "Extra Tall"; typical comfort heights are between 17-19 inches tall. This is a full 19 inches tall making is easier for seniors or those with limitations. The Power Flush uses the Niagara Stealth Technology to ensure a clean flush with no clogs. The seat is a slow-close seat; no accidental slamming that could cause injuries. The package kit includes all parts necessary for an easy install with quick connect parts, with exception of the supply line. A limited lifetime warranty gives you peace of mind on a quality toilet.
