Q:Hi. The glacier Bay toilet has some blue tape on parts perhaps as a marking for packing. It seems resistant to removal. How do you easily remove the residue left on the side base of the tank and side bottom of the bowl?

There are a few but's to this toilet. Please read!
Would I recommend this toilet? Yes. It flushed great! BUT... The flush valve seal is garbage. Within 6 months, the toilet was leaking about 1/3" of water every 20 min. The edge of the seal was bubbled up on one side. Home Depot does not sell it, and it is almost impossible to find online. Kohler makes a seal the same size and it works. Also, because of the inner tank, you can't drop a standard size chlorine tablet in the reservoir.

Great toilet!
I would give this 4.8 stars, it was super easy to install. The flush is amazing. The packaging and instructions are flawlesss.
My only negative is the seat! It feels a bit hard and uncomfortable! Maybe I will get used to it.
Overall, this is a nice clean toilet that flushes impecably with little water.
I bought this toilet on Nov 11, 2023 at Home Depot, Ancaster, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Whirlpool flush
My 30 year old toilets in the home needed replaced badly. This toilet has a lot of great reviews so I thought I would give it a try and replace the 3 I have! Easy to install. And the flush is amazing. The refilling is very quiet. Definitely a great purchase. So far so good. 👍

Not reliable
I purchased this toilet over a year ago and not even a year worth of use my toilet was draining water slowly down the bowl. I called the customer service and we did some diagnosing over the phone and they said it was probably due to cracked porcelain. I added blue food dye in the tank and notice it slowly leaking out from the vacuum power hole. They sent me a new flapper valve which I had to install. Barely one year of use and I already have to replace? Not reliable

Poor performance
Toilet is not convenient to return as it is installed. This was bought based on the hype that this could flush up to 6 tennis balls. I had it professionally installed. I have to fully flush at least 3 times every time and paper will not all disappear which is not economical or convenient. After a couple hours there's almost no water in the base so I have to flush it just to clean it. This brand of toilet is NOT as advertised and very deceiving.

I am very impressed with this toilet as it does flush with great force, and very importantly leave quite a bit of water in the bowl, so that the next person who deposits a deuce in the bowl does not leave racing stripes in the bowl.

Great Flush!
Overall, this toilet seems perfect and works as should. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because there is writing on the side of the tank that will NOT come off. Not sure why it’s even there. I also had a difficult time to get the tank to be solid sitting on the base. It still wiggles and moves and as it said, do not tighten too tight or you will have damage. I put it as tight as I could but still moves.

Too Many Holes
This toilet had 4 total holes in the base --- 2 on each side (see picture). Plus the surface where the holes were was depressed, not flat as shown in display picture and on the carton. I checked 2 boxes and both were the same. I have never sen a toilet like this. Ended up buying a Kohler.
