Rusting mirrors
Moved into a house with these cabinets installed. Been looking into replacing them and finally found what they were and for the way they are looking currently I'm surprised at the price. All 5 mirrors are in terrible condition, rusting at the edges

No Manufacture Customer Service
Bought 2 medicine cabinets and both cabinet mirrors are bowed at the top and do not seal with the cabinet by a 1/4 of an inch. Flyer says to not return to store and to call the manufacture direct. I have called the number twice now and left messages on their answer machine. They do not respond. My builder grade medicine cabinets I had for 27 years sealed much better than these. I am very dissapointed!

Really nice upgrade.
I just installed this and it only took about 3 minutes! The opening had some nailheads sticking up and I was afraid it might not fit in, but I found this to be smaller the the one it's replacing and needed to be raised up just a bit. I needed some sort of shimming as I had no helper to hold it in place, so I used the shelves from the old cabinet to raise it up. Perfect! Certainly a better look with the beveled edge.

Fits well on a retrofit/upgrade
The medicine cabinet was very easy to install, and includes directions and hardware (4 screws).
In my situation, I was replacing an existing medicine cabinet so the recess was already sized right for my installation. If you were putting this into new construction, just follow the directions to make your own framed recess. You can even purchase a surface-mount box accessory that allows you to convert this recessed cabinet into a surface-mount cabinet.
The case itself seemed slightly smaller than my 50 year old metal medicine cabinet, so I had to make sure I centered the new cabinet properly so it covered the wall recess properly. I was trying to avoid having to touch-up the paint around the cabinet. While I was mostly able to do that, realistically it would have been best if you just plan on painting the wall before installing the cabinet. That way you won't have any bare spots showing.
When centering the cabinet, I feel it's best to place the bottom of the cabinet on the lower 2x4 in the recess, to give plenty of support to the lower shelf. The cabinet is made of plastic.
The interior split shelves are adjustable and many unique configurations can be created to allow the placement of various items on the shelving. This a great feature. You can even purchase an accessory kit that contains more shelves.
The cabinet is reversible; just flip it over. Be sure that the hinged side is farthest from the center of the room. and, yes, the hinges are hidden behind the mirror.
Finally, the mirror has a beveled edge which gives it a much more classy, upscale look, yet maintains its modern styling.

This is a great medicine cabinet! looks very nice and the adjustable sized shelves uses up all the dead space in the traditional shelf design for medicine cabinets. I can get a lot of stuff inside, clearing the clutter off the counter. I put one in each of my bathrooms and they are very nice looking to boot. I highly recommend them. Great price and a great cabinet.
