Annecy 1-Light Graphite Pendant with Seeded Glass Shade, Vintage Incandescent Bulb Included

There’s not much not to like about Globe Electric’s vintage look Annecy Graphite Pendant with Seeded Glass Shade. Replacing the three builder grade pendants in the kitchen of our new house with these Annecy pendants will be one of the first projects we do once we move in. The graphite finish is pretty cool - all of the hardware has a hammered pewter appearance that gives the fixture its contemporary industrial look. The clear heavy duty beaded shade is (+/-) 6” in diameter by 11” high and is suspended by one to four sections of 3/8” screw together down rod (two sections will work very nicely above the island in our 9’ ceiling kitchen). The manufacturer even includes an Edison bulb - none of the other new fixtures we have ordered for the house come with bulbs. My only complaints are 1) a painting flaw on one of the down rods (see photo) and 2) the “hammered” look finish is not as consistent as I feel it should be for a $60 pendant. Neither of the issues are deal breakers - I really like this light!

The GLOBE pendant light is a nice looking and stylish light. It is made from quality materials and is easy to assemble. It comes with down rods that screw together but the unit is made where you can leave off one or more rods to adjust the height to where you want it. It is a great addition to the dining room and we are enjoying the dimmable LED light. I recommend this light.

Excited! I received my Globe Electric Annecy 1 Light Pendant with Clear Glass Shade. This is in brushed nickel and absolutely perfect in every way. It's going to give my kitchen area a vintage, yet modern look. The re-model requires great lighting and this is perfect with the clear glass shade. Updating is going to be as easy as changing the color of the bulb if I want. Easy access thru the shade and I can put in whatever I want or need. Easy install for certain as it comes with all necessary hardware and instructions. Globe Electric has superb, quality product. I love this light.

I love these lights! We connected them over our island and installed a dimmer and they're beautiful. Easy to install and great quality. I highly recommend this set.

The Annecy light in Dark Bronze has a very nice old time look to it. It comes well packaged and is very easy to follow the instructions. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to add a little class and old time feel to a space. The light seems to be high quality and well made. I would highly remommend this to anyone who is looking to add style and class to a room

While the overall installed appearance isn't bad there are some issues that led me to deduct points from this pendant. Foam packing may be effective around the outside of glass light shades but I don't see how a loose piece of foam on the inside could possibly protect the shade from cracking. It seems like a waste (see photo). The canopy of this pendant is the smallest of five that I have installed over the past year. In fact, it wasn't large enough to cover the entire edge of a remodel ceiling electrical box (see photo). There is an informational sticker on the outside of the fixture that holds the glass shade. Once removed, there is residual adhesive that requires an adhesive remover to remove it (see photo). The glass shade itself has a cut edge that is not fire polished or buffed sufficiently in my opinion and could cause a cut. The attachment of the shade to the bulb base unit is the traditional 3-screw method that has been around almost 100 years. It seems wrong for a unit that has a bit more modern appearance (see photo). The fixture comes with 4 extension rods that are all the same length--just about 1 foot long. Most pendants come with a half length rod to adjust the final length to a finer adjustment. The amount of wire provided is just barely enough if you need to use all 4 extension rods and have the amount required by code left in the electrical box and canopy. None of these issues by itself would make this a 3 star product but when considered altogether this unit warrants 3 stars in my opinion. I don't know how much value this unit provides since I could not find the retail price. As far as the installation, it is pretty simple and straightforward and the canopy does feature a swivel for installation on a sloped ceiling. It also has a protective sleeve to protect the wire that goes through the canopy swivel and stem. That is a nice touch that I prefer to a couple of rubbery plastic washers that tend to get lost or forgotten during pendant assembly. The canopy does attach with cylindrical vs. spherical cap nuts that I find easier to install and tighten. They also roll less if you drop one. For me, the biggest single issue was the diameter of the canopy that could easily have be at least 1/2 inch larger without affecting the appearance or even the cost of this fixture significantly.

Love the Globe Electric Annecy 1-Light. It matches the Annecy 3-Light I have my in my eat in kitchen. Edison light bulbs look great with these lights.

The light was easy to hang but the ceiling cover plate should have been a little larger because it is possible to see the edges of the round blue electrical box.
